Nothing much happened during my work time. Continue with my own works. During lunch time, my seniors brought me & my colleague to a vegetarian food court next to a temple at Jalan Ampang. I felt so calm when I reached that place. So peaceful. The food is nice. I was surprised that I saw few foreigners who are working in the embassy came to the food court & eat. Before we go back to work, LKC told me that as a human, we need to know the action that we need to do well. After 2 weeks, I managed to go back home on time. I don't to work overtime because I wanted to join my old schoolmates meet up. I was happy to get updates from them. They looked mature & I'm being the youngest who is still studying. While we were chatting, I received a missed call from another friend. I called my friend back. My friend told me there were something bad happen. I asked my friend into the details & talked for 20 minutes. I was heart broken. But this is a real world. We need to face the unexpected. If the readers read my previous post, I am a revengeful guy. I won't let it go easily. I promise that. But luckily, my old friends managed to make me happy back with their stories. Sometimes, it is good to laugh for a while to release your stress. I just checked one of my classmate's email. My classmate wrote that the university want all of the students who are having their industrial training to work 12 weeks or 60 days exclude the public holiday & weekend. So, I think I need to consider to extend my training. I have to discuss again this matter with my supervisor when he is free to do so.

Purposely went to MV for a movie & haircut. But unfortunately, too many cars until no car park available. Luckily, managed to go next to MV & found a lot of car parks. Purposely to find a car park for half an hour is really waste the car's petrol. Meanwhile, the movie that I wanted to watch is either full or the seats were too front for each sessions. I was quite frustrated since I cannot watch the movie on it's premiere day. Purposely went back to my hometown nearest cinema to watch the movie. I managed to buy the tickets but need to wait until the evening time to watch it. If I know earlier, I should watch at nearby. No need to go so far & watch it. The movie is quite nice. now I'm waiting for the next movie which it will screen on next 2 months. My haircut even look funny. I look like an army. Too short. But it's good because I need to wear safety helmet all the times. Long hair will cause me to sweat more. Tomorrow I will start my third month of my internship. More new challenges will come? Or the old problems will come back? Nobody knows it.

I don't have much workloads today since I managed to finish it on yesterday night. No additional problems. I just need t follow up my works. As usual, went for a site inspection with the managers from level 25 to the ground floor. PM didn't say much on the trade that I incharge since my supervisor is not here. Meanwhile, my colleague faced a dilemma, I guessed. Because he got a difficulty to handle the workers. The workers disobey his instruction. But luckily LKC helped him to solve it. I think he will able to handle the workers soon. There too many mosquitoes in the construction area even though the safety & health officer used a type of water fogging to kill the mosquitoes. But it is useless. There are still got a lot of it. Each levels I think got at least hundreds of mosquitoes. I hope that I won't get any sickness if the mosquitoes bite me & suck my blood. During my lunch time, I sat next to PM. It's quite pressure when I sat beside him. But he still ok & even asked me about my hometown & my university studies. I'm quite fortunate because all of the seniors at my workplace are friendly & helpful. Maybe because I'm a trainee. Now I'm watching the Teresa Teng song from a channel. Her voice sounds so smooth & nice to hear. It was loss for such a good singer died early. I doubt that the reader will think I look too old for this~ ;)

This is the second time, my supervisor not in the office for a whole day. He went for his training at the headquarters for two days. Although there is no supervision on me but I still need to settle my works. There are insufficient of materials at the site. For example, I need to use the wheelbarrow to bring the sand up to the building. Unfortunately, all of the wheelbarrows are broken & I need to borrow the other sub-contractor's wheelbarrow to let my worker to bring the sand up. It's really wasting my time to arrange this stuff. Meanwhile, my colleague was facing a difficult situation when he called the workers for help to carry the door frames. The workers didn't come down. He asked for my help to call them down. At first, they didn't listen to me. But after I met them, I told them that this work is your bowl of rice. If you didn't help my colleague, if you face the sound of tune. In the end, they followed me to go down & helped my colleagu. Sometimes is quite to ask the workers to do the work because we are just a trainee. But I will try my best to control them. I thought I can leave the site on time today but I was failed. LKC grabbed my time to check on my working progress. But he is a helpful senior because he is willing to teach me about the real construction environment, architecture design & requirements of it. He also gave his tips/quote to us which is the '4M" : Management, Man Power, Materials & Machinery to run a project~ After the discussion & had a short chat with him & my colleague, I offered my help to fetch my colleague back since today is his birthday. I understand the feeling of using public transport during at night time because I faced it before when I worked in a bookshop at KLCC. I always reached home around 11.30pm++ if I work from 1.30pm-10pm. When I reached home, I told my mom that I failed for my mission to reach home early. No choice, sometimes I need to finish my work so that I don't need to bring it forward to the next day & increase my burden. When I checked my email just now, I received an email from my university coordinator for internship. After a month, I know who is my visiting supervisor. I hope that I can make a good time arrangement for him to meet my supervisor at the site soon. And lastly, I read a post from a fan page that I support. There is a person lost his taekwondo belt after his training & he is a black belt holder. For my opinion, as a black belt holder, he/she should know how precious the belt is because the belt is representing a person dignity or a rank. If that person lost it, then it shows that the person is not qualify to wear the belt. This is what I learnt from my previous instructor & I taught the juniors about the importance of the belt & do not play it. After tomorrow, I still have a month left to work. But I still haven't decide whether I should extend my working period or not. Should I or shouldn't I?

My mission failed today. I didn't manage to go back on time. I need to work overtime because my supervisor asked me to help him to fill up the inspection forms for the works done by the sub-contractors. Furthermore, he briefed ab out tomorrow tasks to my colleague & I because tomorrow he will not be at site because he will going to have a training at the headquarters for two days. Oh no~~ If I got any problems for these two days, who will I refer to? Meanwhile, I had my lunch at the same restaurant for 2 consecutive days. Although same food but I'm still happy because it was free. During the lunch time, almost everyone talked bad about a consultant, which is very strict for inspection. Lazy to write.. Night~

25th May 2011

Yesterday, my supervisor asked me that whether I want a general worker to help me to execute some of the operation works. I told him that I'm not ready yet. The reason is if I have a new worker, I need to train the worker to be skillful before help me to do work. Another reason is it will burden me & I need to monitor the worker's progress. About today, I almost late to work. Thanks to KTM. The train arrived late at KL Sentral for 15 minutes. Usually, the train arrive at 7.15am from my hometown. I'm quite lucky again because I saw the 'Gold' for the third time. This time, it was located on level 20. I predict that it should be the same person who do it because the 'Golds' that I saw are almost the same, I ate my lunch quite late because I joined a meeting with a consultant who has the expertise in facade. I think my theory is right. Whenever somebody treat me for lunch during my work time, I will face more workloads right after my lunch. I think I work overtime for a week since last Wednesday. It's not because I want to get extra pay but I need to settle my works on time so that I do not bring my works forward to another day & increase my burden. My colleague also faced the same situation, He need to work overtime but in the end, I asked him to stop his work because it was already 8pm & even my supervisor asked to leave & continue our works back tomorrow morning. I'm so bad not letting my colleague to finish his works. Haha~ Even one of my seniors teased me that a trainee shouldn't work overtime. What to do... Before I leave the office, my supervisor chatted with me about this workloads. I understand his situation & suggested to him that he should take a break & go for a holiday. He joked back that it will cause him more troubles when he comes back from holiday. I agree with him because he is the only person who incharge for his own works. I can't help him much because I'm still a trainee. I just do my best whenever he ask to help him..

Quite busy today. Even my colleague the new trainee told me that I looked busy. I went for the staff meeting for the second time this month. All of the managers + senior engineers attended the meeting. My supervisor asked me to join the meeting if I'm free because from there, I will learn a lot on how the seniors solve their problems in the meeting. I felt a little pressure when I'm attending this meeting because what I can see that everyone in the meeting room look so serious & the atmosphere is really cool. During the meeting time, the PM was giving pressure to my supervisor due to some delays of the work. I can see that my supervisor is in bad mood. Whole day do few inspections. I need to do multitasking so that I can finish my job fast. After the sub-contractors' meeting, my supervisor asked me to stay in the room & have a meeting with a sub-contractor. They were discussing the man power of the workers & I realized that we are late to the maximum already. I saw my supervisor looked so down. He told me that he had a headache. I sensed my workload is increasing. More paper works for me to settle it. Come Come~ Meanwhile, my old friends from college would like to have a meet near to the college. Initial, I declined to join them due it's quite late. But in the end, I changed my mind & join them. I know that it's quite hard to meet with old friends. I saw them look quite old.. Time flies fast~

Today, my supervisor is not in the office. He asked to bring the new trainee to help me to do the defects inspection on the dry framing wall. When I see him wear the old shoe with holes, I'm quite pity him because the water can easily enters in the shoe. It's quite pain to wear a wet shoe. Since last Wednesday, I work overtime. I am worry that whether I can claim my overtime pay or not. Until just now, I can't wait. I asked my supervisor about it. He told me that I will get it by the end of the month because usually the staff will get the overtime payment on next month. I try to wait whether I can get it or not. Meanwhile, I told my supervisor that I wanted to extend for another 2 weeks. He told me to extend for a month because 2 weeks sound quite weird. I need to think back whether I should extend for a month or not~ Before I leave the office, my supervispr told me that I will be going to be very busy soon. Probably start busy on next week. I thought I'm already busy with my works. Come come, give me more works. I like it Baby!

Actually, nothing special that I want to write here. Whole day stay at home. I managed to sleep for 10 hours. The longest time for me to sleep for the week. Checked my thousand emails. Chatted with some of my friends. Glad that they are still in good shape. Meanwhile, I have time to read a biography book bought by my sister. Until now, the book is still the top selling book in the country. I think it is a good book to read because the book shows the writer's life, the problems that the write faced & the ways that he used to solve it. But after I read 2 chapters of the book, my eyes felt so tired slept again. Long time I didn't sleep during the afternoon time. But there is a consequence, after I woke up, I felt headache~ I think it is due to insufficient of oxygen in the brain. Meanwhile, my unimates told me that I'm getting more wild. I agree with the point that people will follow the changes of the environment especially those who still young like a white paper. Sometimes I will think a women or girl that I like. Maybe I can say this is call desperation for love? Haha~

Went to the site in the early morning. I had my breakfast with my colleagues & seniors at a morning market. This was my second time to minum kopi at there since my internships starts. As usual, had a site inspection with the management staff but this time, only checked from level 15 to the ground floor. Yesterday evening rain heavily & caused some of the level are flooded. The workers need to do repeated works to clean the water for the affected area. I felt bored with this work to monitor the workers to clean it up. There are no solution for it yet. I hope this problem can be solve as soon as possible. I think this week, I had free lunch for 3 times & 2 times for dinner. It's really good for me because I can save the money for my upcoming trip. For the first time on Saturday, I worked until 7pm just now. I managed to finish my paper works on time. So there will be no extra works on next Monday. To my surprised, when I met my supervisor, he asked to punch his job card because he need to leave early for his friend's wedding. Haha~ He left early for the first time again.

It's about the flood again. Almost every floors were wet today. I think my supervisor is facing a big trouble. He has a task to solve this problem as soon as possible because the timber floor installation need to starts soon on level 6. There should be no water ponded on each level by now. Meanwhile, I need to settle the problems that occurred on level 13 before the Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing consultants will do their inspection on tomorrow morning. Actually, it is not my job to helped the sub-cons to check the defects or problem. They should do it by themselves. My supervisor even told them that the main con is very kind to help them. Why their workmanship are so bad? Can't they do it properly? Really no eyes to see it. What to do, I still need to do my job as instructed by my supervisor. When I finished my work at 6pm, suddenly one of my seniors asked me & my new colleague to eat dinner together. I told him that I have my own dinner at home but he still wanted me to go dinner with him. In the end, I followed them for dinner. My supervisor told me that I neglected my mum for the second time when I didn't go back home & eat her home cook. What to do again~ When a manager ask you for an outing, can you reject easily? When I reached home, I still have to eat my mum's cook because she knows that I prefer home cook to eat. So, today I had 2 dinners at 1 night~ How full am I now. My senior even told me that tomorrow morning come to the officer in the early morning so that we can have a morning breakfast at one of the morning market in Imbi. I was like should I go? see how is the situation tomorrow. Tomorrow will be my last day of the my 7th week~ Life still goes on~

I was lucky because the senior who borrowed my notes returns it back to me & he gave his own text book to me for my future reference. He told me that I do not need to return his book back to him. How good he is. Thanks! Meanwhile, I felt my eyes bag were so tired. It was like a tonne of loads on my eyes. So tired. Lazy to write. I do not need to use my own money to buy my lunch & dinner. I had my free lunch & dinner before I went to my university just now. Thanks to my PM for the lunch & my supervisor for the dinner. And also, today I work for the longest time since my first day of internship. I managed to work from 8.00am until 9.30pm. I felt so tired. During the dinner time, I was surprised that LKC is married & has a daughter. I felt so unbelievable about it. It was raining after my dinner. I was almost late to reach my university. If compare to last year, this year less students come & visit the bazaar. Maybe it's due to the rain or else. I saw the EBs worked so hard. I hope they manage to reach the targets that I set tomorrow. Time to sleep. I can't wait to watch the movie~ I hope I won't get sleepy easily later.

Today is a public holiday but I read from Facebook posts, some of my friends need to work today. I hope they can get double pay for it because of they need to work on holiday. Meanwhile, I had a meeting with the club's committee members at a shopping mall. It is quite relax when do a meeting outside from the campus. It took 3 hours for the meeting today. It's not good to organize a meeting more than an hour. If more than 3 hours, it means that there are still a lot of problems not yet solve. But it's a good meeting because we can organize a lunch time or gathering together out from the campus at the same time. Whole day in the shopping mall. Managed to watch a movie called 'Paul'. It was a hilarious movie. I can't wait for this coming Thursday. I want to watch that movie so much~

First of all, I would like to wish Happy Teacher's Day to my former kindergarten teachers, primary school teachers, secondary school teachers, college lecturers, current university lecturers & lastly, my current internship supervisor. I really appreciate your guidance & teaching that build my characteristic throughout my whole life until now. For the first time, I treated a coffee for my supervisor for his guidance. My parents advised me to treat him at least once for his help to teach me on the site & I adhered the advice.

Meanwhile, there were 2 surprises for me today. First, my supervisor informed me that the MD will come for a site visit at our work place. It was a last minute announcement. When I saw him, he looked so serious to me. He never smile. I even saw him scolded the managers until everyone is quiet. I even need to delayed my lunch time to wait for him to finish his visit. Even one of the executive told me that why he wants to choose the wrong time to visit. During the lunch time, my supervisor told my PM that there will be a new trainee join our team. No need to ask the gender. I know is a guy. After the lunch, I met the new trainee in the office. He looked smart with the formal wear. My supervisor asked me to bring for a site walk while he was busy with his things. He is quite lucky because he managed to meet my supervisor on his first day and even know some of the basic things of the site from me. I think got a new trainee is good because my job will be lesser or maybe more?

Almost 6 years I didn't go to the lagoon. Thanks to the organizer because she managed to get staff price for the tickets. There were a lot of changes at there. I felt myself like a small kid again. Played some of the kid's games. The water still the same smell & taste. Chlorinated smell & taste. I didn't play one of the game which will cause me a big dizzy. Maybe I don't have the courage to play it. Maybe I would like to say that I don't like to take a risk. Even my former roommate noticed that. I prefer to have a peace life, if I can. I was surprised that I saw 2 of my secondary school junior & senior (brother & sister) at there. There was a performance at the lagoon. Their dance is really good but the singing part, not good. Luckily we came early, almost play all of the games before the rain comes. Just there is a park that we don't have the chance to visit. During the trip, I saw a lot of couples who are really open minded. I saw there was a couple hugged so closely each other & the guy 'feel' the girl's breast so hardly & it's like a breastfeeding scene. What a 'good' scene. It was a good trip with my fellow coursemates. I realized that it is hard to maintain the friendship with everyone. It is the time will tell the story. We need to familiar with this kind of situation & need to move on. We will be alone in some of the situations & we need to decide our own path.

A lot of my seniors took a day leave today. Probably they want to have a longer break until next Tuesday. But my supervisor is still a hardworking staff. In the morning, my supervisor told me that there will be a site visit again with the management staff. He asked me to go along with them. He said that the PM wants to have a site visit on every Saturday. I think it is a good way to monitor the project's progress but it will be also a bad news for every staff because the PM will check every single things during the site visit. My supervisor is one of them will face the sound of music from the PM. I'm quite pity him but no choice. It his responsibility to solve the problems. Before the lunch time, he asked me to meet him in the meeting room to discuss about my internship progress. He told me that if I got any questions, just immediately ask him. But I told him that I only will ask him when he is free. Usually I will compile a load of questions & will ask him when he is free. Imagine how busy is he. Even one of the seniors advised me that don't be like him. We need to enjoy our work life but not to suffer it. I managed to sneak into the link bridge project area today. I saw the workers on how to do the micropile for the bridge. I wished they send me to this project to help out~~ Tomorrow will going out for a water gathering. I think I didn't go there for 6 years.. I'm still wondering am I still a kid? Still want to play water~ Haha~

Friday the 13th~ What a 'Nice' day~ I couldn't write a post here yesterday night due to some technical problem with Blogger. When I posted my words: 'No blog today. There is a problem with Blogger. I think that at least tonight there is no annoying blog to disturb the Facebook viewers with my daily report' on my Facebook, some of the viewers like this post. But still, I will do my best to update all of the things I want to write at here. Meanwhile, I took 3 hours leave to went back to my university to attend a program. Maybe the readers think that I'm psycho. Purposely went back there. I felt so disappointed that very few students joined the program. To add more salts on my wound, no pretty girls attend~ Too bad. Like what my friends told me, I'm working at the city centre. everyday can see OL work at there. I was surprised that this semester, only 30++ new students who are taking civil engineering course in my university. So few. But I'm quite happy that my comrades were there & organized it well. I saw them still the same. So active~ I heard a lot of good & bad news from them about their lives in my university.

At night time, I went back to Taman Sri Muda that I always use to eat with my family when I was young. The place is changed a lot. It becomes a foreigners' settlement. A lot of Chinese moved to other place. I miss my old place a lot. I still remember when I stayed at my old house. Can ride my bicycle around the area. Can walk to the nearby KFC & Giant in 10 minutes. My king size bed. So comfy~ In memories~

I almost can see a fight happen at my work place. But luckily all under control. It happened at the passenger hoist where the sub-contractor's workers quarreled with my company's general workers. It was about the lost of the passenger hoist's key. My company's general worker accused the sub-contractor's steal the key when he left the hoist for a while. I'm not sure who is right or wrong but the Safety Officer instructed the sub-contractor's workers to leave the site immediately. The sub-contractor's supervisor felt pissed off when his men were kicked out from the site. I rushed to the office & informed my supervisor. Then, my supervisor went to the scene to settle it with the another supervisor. This is my first time to see this kind of scene. I think more to come. Luckily no fight today. If not, it will give a bad name to the company. My supervisor is busy again. He didn't go for his lunch & need to finish a report. Pity him. After the lunch time, he was in rush & went out. I think he is having another meeting. I continue with my works. At 3.30pm, all of the sub contractors were waiting for my supervisor to come back & chair the meeting but he still haven't come back. 3 of his colleagues helped him to chaired it. Usually my supervisor chair the meeting just need around 30 minutes++ to settle all the things but his colleagues, need to take 1.5 hours to end the meeting. I really respect my supervisor on how he manage the things fast & well. I still haven't receive my salary yet.When they will bank in the money to me?? I'm still waiting~~~

Today, I had my free lunch again in restaurant near to Pavilion. The restaurant operated since 1956. It's a very old restaurant. I think there is a consequence when I eat my lunch free with my seniors & managers. Usually after my free lunch, I will sure face more problems at my working place & need to work harder to solve the problems. Maybe it is a curse. Nothing is free. When you get something free, you need to think whether it is genuine or not. Sometimes we need to pay back if we get some free things. So, should I join with my seniors & managers to go for free lunch on next time? The answer is ABSOLUTELY YES! I felt awkward when the Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Seniors, Sub-Contractors & even their Consultants call me 5哥 (In Cantonese). Thanks to one of my seniors who started to call me this name. I'm the youngest here but they still call me like that. I have no idea how to stop them from calling me this name & I just let it be. I saw another problem that caused my supervisor face a big problem. My supervisor is a strict person when comes to work. He always want to settle the things on time. He ordered the sub-contractor to build the wall on the risers part (To cover it) today but the MEP consultants haven't do their inspection on the risers. When they came, they can't inspect it & ask me about why we already build the wall & block them to check the risers. I have no idea. I immediately called my supervisor about it. In the end, the consultant who incharge for the wall gave a tantrum to my supervisor in the office before I sign off. Everyone in the office just keep quiet. He asked my supervisor why need to build the wall first before the MEP consultants finish their inspection. I'm not sure what happened actually but I heard that actually the problem started from MEP department. They were late to do the inspection & my supervisor have no choice & need to go on with his works. I saw my supervisor is getting more pressure now. If he is getting more pressure, what will happen to me?

When I was driving my sister's car, I listened something that make me surprised from a radio channel. There was a triad created a Facebook group to recruit members. The message of the group conveys in this way: “If you want protection, just click this icon.” They were really smart & superb by using this way to earn money. I hope nobody especially teenager will join them. If they join, they are really stupid & will destroy their future. So tired today. I don't have time to rest during my work time. When I was on level 9, my supervisor called me to come back to the office to meet the Project Manager. I was quite surprise & nervous what is happened. When I met him, he just asked me to help the Safety & Health Executive to write a monthly report for April. Go up & down & up & down. After 12pm. While I was still doing my inspection on a floor, suddenly my supervisor called me again. He told me that it's time for lunch. Why haven't come down yet. After the call, I rushed back to ground floor & met my supervisor & other seniors. I was lucky to ate at this restaurant>>

It is located near to Dang Wangi. The food is so delicious. I will go there & eat again soon. I thought I want to pay for my own food but my seniors said no need to do so. They claimed the money from my supervisor. I was like @.@. They told me that my supervisor is very rich since he save money a lot. I was starting to think what should I buy for my supervisor & some of my seniors for my appreciation gifts once I finish my internship. Any ideas? While on my way back, I saw a car with a nice car plate number>>

I just realized that today my salary is out but I haven't check it. I'm not sure I can get my overtime pay or not. If I don't get it, what will happen next?? Before I end this post, I watched Oprah Show when I was back at home. In her show, she was travelling to Australia & there was an Aussie said about the comparison of work life between Australia & America. In Australia, they will enjoy the life to the fullest & will get a 5-6 weeks annual leave while in America, they only got 2-4 weeks annual live. He even said that: 'Not live for work. But Work for Live.' Do you agree?

Everyone is talking about the weather today. Since last week, the weather is seem so hot. After a cold bath still sweat all over the body. But I still like this kind of weather for the next 2 months because it will be a good condition for me to work at construction site. Lesser problems will happen only. During the afternoon, one of my seniors, a lady who works for contract department need to go up to level 7 to meet her colleagues for an inspection. Can you imagine that a women need to use a passenger hoist with other workers & squeeze like a tin sardine? Furthermore, can you imagine that most of the workers are pervert & see the senior like a wolf? It is quite dangerous for a women who works on the site. If can, it's better to find a person to accompany when a women want to the inspection. Nobody know what will happen next. I think I started to miss my study life. I felt so funny when I saw some of the juniors' posts on Facebook. They wrote about how good or bad is the subjects & lecturers. It reminds me back my time in university for the last 3 years. Complained this & that. But in the end, I managed to go it through happily & sad. And lastly, I don't like people who can't finish their task on time. Discipline is very important & need to train it since young. At my work place, without discipline will caused a chaotic situation at the site. People who without discipline will not be a successful person in the future. Do you agree with me?

Mother's Day 2011

Today I went out for whole day. From Kota Damansara to Sunway Giza to 1 Utama to Desa Aman Puri. I think I can't wait already. I bought a new camera due to my sister's old camera is spoilt & is for my internship purpose. Since last 3 weeks ago, I borrowed my supervisor's camera to capture the important pictures from the site until he can't use it for a while. I'm so bad. Actually, the main purpose for me to get a new camera is to capture ugly photos & pretty girls for my own collection. Do you believe it?

Meanwhile, during the dinner time at Desa Aman Puri, My family & I waited for an hour to get a table to eat while waited for another hour to wait for the food to come. In the end, I only used 40 minutes to finish my dinner. This restaurant is quite famous until a long queue is needed to order the food. The food is quite good but the waiting period is really tiring. Furthermore today weather is dry & hot. Anyway, it's a good experience for me because this is my first time to wait 2 hours++ for my food. And lastly, I would like to wish my mummy a Happy Mother's Day! I like my souvenirs! I hope she will maintain her good health~ Tomorrow need to work again. I hope it will be another good day~

Usually people only work half day on Saturday but for site construction, I need to work for full day. I had a chance to go with the management staff to do site inspection today. It was from level 25 to ground floor. It took 2 hours to finish the inspection. I learnt a lot from the managers on how they do inspection. But there were a lot of problems occur. When the Project Manager or in short form PM complains about the problems occur, his subordinates need to solve the problems as soon as possible before the PM explodes. For example, my supervisor which is the Assistant Project Manager need to solve a lot of problems. He looked so frust today. When he needs to solve it, I will be the next person need to assist him to solve the problems. I asked a question to my supervisor when I worked for the second week. I asked: Mr. XXX, did you apply for an extra staff to help you to execute the tasks from the HQ? He said yes. In my mind, I know that it is unfortunate for him to receive a new staff which is here for an internship, not for full time. Furthermore, I'm like a pure white paper without any experience on site. I heard from my unimates that usually the supervisors will get some allowance when they take interns under them for training. So, I think I should make my supervisor more headache~ Hahaha~ Just joking. He is a good man. I will do my best to complete my tasks that given by him.

Meanwhile, I was fortunate to ate free lunch from a sub-contractor. He treated all of the management staff for the lunch. I felt weird that why my seniors like to eat Steamed Fish Head?? I already ate for the third time on Saturdays. But I don't care, at least I can save my money. After the lunch, I went to do some inspection again. I saw the 'Gold' for the second time. What a good treatment after the lunch. The 'Gold' is situated on level 18. One higher level. I guess tomorrow there will be another 'Gold' on level 19. =.=

I thought tonight I can rest well while watching the television but I can't. I need to settle some of the extra curricular jobs from my university. I wish I can ask the general workers to help me to settle the jobs. LOL~ And lastly, to readers, if you are still studying, please enjoy your study while you can before you will regret when you are working in the future.

YES! For the first time, I was late for my work in the morning. But luckily, my supervisor didn't get angry & he even smiled at me & said is ok. Today weather is really hot but I like it. At least no flooded area that I need to walk through. I'm quite lucky today, I saw the first 'Gold' that somebody left on the construction area on level 17. I think that the worker left it on yesterday night when he couldn't find a suitable place to leave his 'Gold'. It is hard for me to ask the general workers to clean it up because the workers don't like to clean this 'Golds'. But what to do, they still need to do because this is one of their job to do housekeeping. Meanwhile, I chatted with an uncle who is a supervisor for a sub-contractor company. He told me that his company couldn't gain any profit from this project & they need to cover the losses of time & money to settle every single problems. I just know that sub-contractors only supply the man power while the main contractor supply the materials. That is why the sub-contractors couldn't get any profit at all. While waiting for my sister to fetch me, I went to KLCC to see the new opening of a Japanese apparel shop. I was surprised that many people were queuing to enter the shop. I didn't go in there because too may people grab here & there. It was looked so grand~

10 days without home cook~ I'm getting thinner & thinner but my weight still the same. Should I eat more or just maintain the way I eat??

5 May~ Double 5~ Actually Triple 5 including myself. In the morning, I saw the new apparel shop is preparing the opening outlet in KLCC tomorrow. They even built a stage for a fashion show.I think it will draw a big crowd tomorrow. Today is the first time I saw my supervisor fired a general worker due to his laziness until he caused my supervisor exploded. The most funniest thing was the worker's brother called my supervisor from Bangladesh & begged him not to fired him. Unfortunately, my supervisor keep his decision. It is reality. It is cause & effect (Sebab & Akibat) that I learnt it during my form 1 history subject. What have you done, you will get the consequences. People only keep the best for themselves only. They will get rid the things that does not give any benefit to them. Before I end my job today, suddenly one of my seniors asked me to teach Autocad to a new colleague. I was like.... I almost forgot everything. I didn't use Autocad for 2 years. I only teach him the very very basic on how to draw something on the software. I think I too helpful. I offered to lend my notes to him to learn about the software tomorrow. I hope do good deeds will increase my luck. It is important to practice any softwares event though you are not using it. so that next time when people ask, you will still know how to use & teach them... I had my dinner at Hakka Restaurant next to Pavilion. The food is nice & I surprised that a lot of foreigners like to go there & eat. Probably I will go there & eat again in the future. Yum Yum~

Just came back an hour ago. I worked over time again for the second day of my internship. So tired. The train is delayed again. This morning, I saw 1 of my unimates in LRT. What a coincidence. I think almost everyone including the sub-contractors quite surprised that I travel from my hometown to my workplace everyday by train. Today, I managed to borrow my supervisor's camera to take some photos on the last phase of construction for the steel & reinforced concrete. My supervisor even helped me to find some further information on the related matters even though in the course training, he just need to guide me on architecture parts. I think he is really kind although he always look angry on the sub-contractor & workers.

When almost the lunch time, I had an appointment with my junior to do my club's stuff. But suddenly, my supervisor told me that there is a lunch gathering at San Francisco Steakhouse for all the staff which is to celebrate one of my seniors who promoted as the Deputy Project Manager. It was quite hectic but in the end, I make it on time. The food is just average for me & the quantity is too few for me. I still prefer like to eat at Chili's Grill. I'm wondering whether my junior can handle an activity well or not. I hope that my junior can make it through just like when I organized it before. I believe that we need to face few times of failures before we will success in the future. After the lunch, my supervisor teach me on how to differentiate types of doors to install on each rooms. So many types that I need to remember including the measurements. @.@

Rain again~ It cause a major problem to the project. I already immune with it. Today, my supervisor told me that he is worrying about my visiting supervisor will comment that my supervisor didn't give more related things that I learn in university to me. He advised me to grab as much as I can from the project. Actually, I take a lot of copy on method of statements from the office. I hope it can help me when I'm doing my internship report soon. For the first time, the company sent a representative to the site to organize a training on Environment, Safety & Health Awareness on site construction. Even though it's simple but it's good for the staff because at least the training can update the newest information to the staff. I heard from my supervisor that the company usually will organize few trainings & I hope that I can join all during my internship time. During the lunch time, my supervisor asked me about my religion. I was like @.@ Actually today is the first day of the fourth month of Lunar Calendar. Usually people who are devoted to the religion will become vegetarian on the 1st & 15th Day. I just told him that my family is Buddhist but I... Then he said you are a free thinker? I just smile. After lunch, I chatted with one of my seniors. He advised me that after my graduation, I should go & work in consultant firm first. After few years later, then only work on construction site. I agree with his points.

While on my way back, I saw a lot of people cough sneeze. I was really angry to those who didn't cover their mouth & nose when they cough or sneeze. I wondering why they didn't learn the civilize manner? Are they like to spread the 'Loved Sense' through the cough & sneeze to everyone? I really wish that I can use my Ultimate Hand & give them a 'Love Slap' on their face.

I become a tour guide for one of friends who visited me at my hometown. I just realized that I'm not good in guide people for a tour & the place that I stay now doesn't have any best tourist attraction place & local products that people can buy. But I managed to bring my friend to eat the famous food next to my hometown. I hope my friend will satisfied with my tour guide today. Hahaha~

Meanwhile, I would like to write about the gadgets that a site engineer need to bring when they are going for an inspection after I worked on the site construction.

The gadgets that I suggested are as follow:

1. Pens (At least 3 colours: Blue, Black, Red; to differentiate which words are important)
2. Marker Pens (At least 2 colours: Blue, Red; to mark any points)
3. Notebook (Need to write what is important, problems)
4. Papers + Soft board (If you don't have any small notebook)
5. Walkie-talkie (Need to contact with the supervisor, workers)
6. Cellphone (Use to call people who without the walkie-talkie)
7. Highlighter (At least 4 colours: Yellow, Red, Green, Blue; to highlight something on the map)
8. Maps (To locate the area)
9. Camera (To take any photos on methods of works, problem, as a proof to shoot the sub-contractors & girls from the opposite hotel swimming pool XD)
10. Tape measure (To measure the anything)
11. Helmet (To protect your head)
12. Safety shoe ( To protect your feet)
13. CIDB Card (To show that you are qualified to enter the site construction)
14. Torchlight (To see the dark site clearly)
15. And Lastly, your mind + courage. (You need to face the workers everyday & need to know how to solve any problems quickly. Time will not waiting for you)

Labour Day 2011

Today is a day to celebrate the economic and social achievements of workers. I just realized that actually Labour Day is to commemorate the 'eight hour day' which includes the eight hours of work, eight hours of recreation & lastly eight hours of rest. It's not just a normal holiday. As usual, I woke up early automatically. I thought I can sleep until 12pm today but I can't. Home alone. I need to do the housework. I didn't go out this afternoon due to laziness. Actually I want to watch few movies but I didn't go for it due to laziness. I managed to watch the royal wedding through Youtube. I just know that the wedding need to use around 20 million pound. It's really a huge amount that I can use the money to spend for whole life. I hope they won't get separate. If not, the money that they spend for the wedding will be a huge waste.

I just came back from a friend's girlfriend 21st birthday party. I lost for an hour to find her house. I used the Google map to locate her house. As a lesson, do not trust Google map easily because sometimes it will lead you to a wrong place. One of my friends who from taekwondo asked me just now that why I didn't bring my girlfriend for the party since almost everyone bring their partner. I felt the question is so funny. I don't know how to answer it. Sometimes, I feel jealous when I see couples so close together & I feel like a lone ranger but sometimes I feel lucky because I'm still single & no need to worry too much about another person. So, it's quite balance now. The main thing I need to focus now is my studies. After that is my career. When I have secure my career position, then I only focus on my future relationship. I used to joke that probably I will get marry by 40 years old. Who knows? It depends.

Tomorrow will be another break day. I wish to have a job like Ben Southall, he got the best job in the world~
