I already passed my 1st month of internship. How I feel? I feel I'm getting older but I still strong. I didn't get sick during my work time. I hope I will keep this momentum. Today, for the first time, my supervisor late for work because he was working overtime yesterday night. I think he really needs a long break. I felt so tired today. I just slept for 2 hours ++ this morning & need to worked for 8 hours. Luckily, I didn't fall from highest floor when I do inspection today. To readers, if you are working, you need to sleep at least 6 hours to gain back your energy for the next day. If not, your name will be on the main news on the next day. Meanwhile, today is the last for 2 of my colleagues to work at there. I wish them all the best in the future. At noon, almost all of the staff including myself went to a Thai Restaurant to give a farewell lunch for a consultant. The food looked nice but it was too spicy. The interaction between the seniors & myself are getting better. I was surprised again that the company's social club is organizing a movie time for the staff & it is free. I was delighted & will join them to watch the movie soon on next month. After lunch, I felt so lazy to go up again. I was too full. I just stayed in the office & read the method of statements on how to build & maintain the RC, Steel, Wall, Touch-up, etc~

While on my way from Pasar Seni LRT Station to KL KTM Station, there was a old lady passed by. Suddenly, she approached me & asked: Can you lend me RM2? I was like?? But in the end, I didn't give her & I walked off quickly. I felt pity her for wondering around but at the same time I need to protect myself. KL is not a very safe city especially at the Pasar Seni area. If the old lady really needs help, she should find police nearby. But there are a lot of swindlers from young to old people. Becareful~ Be smart & cautious all the time~

Tomorrow is Labour Day. I think Everyone who is working will be very happy & will rest or enjoy for a whole day. The good news is next Monday is also a holiday due to the replacement of the public holiday which falls on Sunday. But at my workplace, some of my seniors need to work. But I think they will get extra allowance. Anyway, I would like to wish Happy Labour Day! Enjoy~

Just came back from a gathering. It was tiring but it a good time to know that my unimates are still alive. I missed the royal wedding live on television due to work. I hope I can watch it back soon. About my works today, still the same. I was inspecting the riser part again with my senior from Mechanical & Electrical Department. He gave me a lot of useful advice about the site construction. I like one of his quote: A site construction do not has any problem it's not a site construction. As an engineer, we need to know how to solve a problem in any form. I really don't like rain nowadays even though it's chilling. The rain caused leakage. The leakage caused each floors flooded. The flood caused my pants wet. It's hard to clean the cement stain on my pants. Doom~ I haven't sleep. Later need to wake up early again~ I can't wait for the holiday!

For the first time, I attended the staff meeting. I felt so scared because everyone were in serious look. Although I attended a lot of meetings during my studies time but here is totally different. When you say or decide something, you can't take it back. Need to becareful when you decide any decision. One Mistake will cause a Disastrous problem~ Now I know why sometimes my supervisor get so hot when he faced the problems. I managed to get feel & almost want to explode when the sub-contractors didn't do their task well. Really headache. This is one of the reasons why they project is delay. Meanwhile, I was surprised that one of the general workers know how to speak in English. Unfortunately, his boss changed his job from a passenger hoist operator become a general worker due to his laziness. I think a lot of people still don't know what time I wake up & what time I reach back to my house. Usually, I will wake up around 5.20am while the earliest time I will reach back home around 7.15pm. The latest time is 9.30pm if I work overtime. To readers, do not think that working is easy. Appreciate your studies time or holiday well. If you have a wife & children, it's better do not work on construction site unless your family understand your situation or you really need more money. I'm still thinking of should I continue to work in this industry after my graduation or not.

While I was waiting for the train at the station, next to me was an uncle chatted with a young girl. Suddenly, the uncle accidentally touch my back when he changed his sitting position. He apologized & checked on my uniform which school I'm studying. He chatted with the girl about the importance of Chinese Language. I was like @.@ Before he boarded the train, he asked me to take care of the young girl~ I was like double @.@ But it was funny~ Haha~

I didn't go & inspect all of the walls so early. I used the early morning time to finish my tabulation reports for 23 days. Even my seniors teased me that I'm doing a clerk works today. =.=My supervisor is right. Actually no need to inspect each floors so many times in a day. Just go & inspect 1 time is enough. Last time, I used to inspect twice in the morning & twice in the afternoon. How stupid am I~~ During the sub-contractors' meeting time, I saw my supervisor quarreled with the sub-contractors. It was like a war. I even can smell the 'Charcoals' were burning. Meanwhile, I saw the sub-contractors back stabbed their own colleagues. This is the reality. I learnt that sometimes we need to be selfish & smart to protect ourselves. If not, people will take advantage from you.

After my work, I went to SP with my sis. I saw so many teenagers at there. I was wondering why got so many people on Wednesday. It has been a month I didn't take my time for a walk. I thought I can meet my unimates at there but due to time constraint, we didn't meet up. Actually I want to ask about the work life in headquarters. Nowadays, there are a lot of franchise dessert shops in Klang Valley. People are willing to go there & buy the dessert to eat. Even though it's really sweet but it is one of the good tool to make you happy. About dessert, I really miss her~~

There were a lot of problems occurred. The sub-contractor who in-charge for the wall didn't do their job well. So many hollow parts in the wall until I also fed up to check. I saw a lot of my seniors were rushing with their tasks. This is because the next 2 days, the managing director of the company will visit the site. And for the first time, my supervisor was very angry when he was talking with the sub-contractor's supervisor by phone. He was shouting on the phone until I got my goosebumps. This is the real scenario of a site construction. There will be a lot of quarrels happen. Working on the site will be very tension too. 1 person need to do multi-tasks. I managed to feel the real multitasking today. I need to do more than 3 tasks at one time. Check the quality of the wall, supervise the workers to do the repair works, check men power for 24 floors & need to finish my paper works. Time management is really important. And sometimes, need to be prepare with last minute job, need to be patience with all of the situation & need to think calm to solve the problems. During the lunch time, I saw an ex-student from my university at a food court. He also work on site, opposite of my working place even though he is a mechanical student. He told me that when I graduate, better don't work on site construction. I was like.. LOL

I thought bring my work back home, I can do it immediately but I didn't. I'm too tired. Watch TV & Online better. I miss my study life~

The 4th week of my internship just started. Today my supervisor assigned me another task. Need to help him to inspect the riser wall for 1 floor. As usual, it took me more than 2 hours to settle the inspection. I need to be strict when I check all of the walls even though the sub-contractor gave a lot of excuses & denied there is something wrong on the wall. My supervisor told me that it depends on myself, whether to agree the contractors or stand on my own decision. Meanwhile, there is a sub-contractor told me about the 'Real' world of construction. It's about the the way contractors bribe the consultants or simply say corruption. Actually, my lecturer in university told to my class before about this matter. The sub-contractor even told me about the way to bribe the contractors. Furthermore, he told me that the contractors want to bribe the consultants because they hope that during the inspection time, the consultants will not inspect thoroughly.

Now I understand why the university want to force the students to study the engineering ethics before they graduate. Based on my 3 weeks in the construction works, I learnt that I need to be think smart & fast to survive in the working environment. If you are not smart enough, you will be lose in the battle during the meetings or any arguments with your colleagues or the sub-contractors. Face the reality. Life is not fair. Life is cruel. See how smart & strong are you to survive in this kind of environment. I'm on my way~

While I was waiting for my sister to fetch me back home, I read an article from a newspaper about the gender. To my surprise, a men who married his wife for 20 years++ & had a son, just noticed that his wife is a guy too~ LOL~ For those who are getting marry, please check your partner's gender before you marry. If not, you will regret~ ;)

Love & Lonely?

This morning, I read an article from a local newspaper. It's about the people who are in relationship faced loneliness. To my surprise, the author wrote that people who are married seem to suffer more loneliness than people who are still single. Do you agree with the author? The author even wrote that there is a researcher noted that feeling lonely may induce some health risks which are:

• Increase in blood pressure
• Increase in the level of stress & cortisol production
• Negative impact on your immune system
• Increase level of depression & anxiety
• Increase in craving comfort foods or highly processed carbohydrates
• Increase in calorie consumption
• Increase in alcohol consumption & drug use
• Sleepless nights

Wow~ I agree with the researcher. I'm wondering how I can stand by myself alone. In my opinion, there are many ways to get rid of loneliness. It depends on that person to think positively or continue to depress & feel lonely. If they are still continuing to depress, then they will think that they are useless & want to end their own lives. Family & Friend supports are really important. But the main thing is about yourself. Think carefully before you act something~

I would like to wish Happy Easter Day to those who celebrating it. I'm still miss 'her'~ 1 month didn't eat her~~

I didn't feel so tired today. Maybe because today is Saturday. This morning, I continue to assist my senior to inspect the quality of the wall. Still the same, 1 floor for 2 hours. When I finished, it's already lunch hour. I went back to the office. Most of them are not there. I envy some of them who work for support department. They only need to work for half day. Ate alone in the food court. Very few people dine in there. Very quiet. After lunch, only 2 people in the office. I took this chance to use my supervisor's laptop. He told me that I can use his to see some of the project files when I'm free. But I didn't do that. I used it to surf internet~ Hahaha~ Meanwhile, 1 of my seniors was almost rob by a motorcyclist just in front of my workplace main gate. Luckily, my senior is not injure. But his gold necklace was broken. I think next time, it's better wear as simple or lousy as you can & don't wear jeweleries on normal day except if there is an occasion or a function. Becareful everyone including guys~

My supervisor & other seniors came back around 2.30pm++ Wow~ They really enjoy the break time. My supervisor really fulfill his promise. He gave me a big task which I need to compile all of the 5 sub-contractors' man power. And the due date is on next week. I was like.. 'Thanks!' Had a chit chat time with him when we inspected the room. The room is really nice. I joke with him whether I can stay overnight in the room. He told me that he slept there once. He asked me not to tell everyone. What a joke~ Hahaha~ 3 weeks done, 9 weeks to go. What should I do tomorrow? Sleep for a whole day? I don't think I can. I'm still considering whether I want to extend it or not. Should I? Or shouldn't I?

Today, I continue to do the quality check on the wall. Not like yesterday when I checked 3 floors in 2 hours, today I took 2 hours with my senior to checked 1 floor with 11 rooms. Today,the clients & the consultants visited the mock up area. The place is not ready yet. Still got the electrical installation, painting & the furnitures set up haven't done yet. I saw my supervisor's face is getting darker. He looks like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guan_Yu. I do not dare to disturb him. But it's good also. At least he don't have time to assign extra jobs to me. How lazy am I.. Haha~ Actually, my workload is increasing. I need to help my supervisor to check a lot of things. Living expenses in KL is really high especially for the food. For lunch, if the food price is between RM6-RM10 is consider cheap. No more RM3 food price. I'm not sure I can save my money for the trip or not.

During my internship, I need to learn as much as I could so that when I graduate, I won't be like a white paper. At least I got some knowledge about the my future works. When I came back from KL, I heard a uncle told to a youngster that civil engineering is the easiest subject among the engineering courses. Actually, I heard this from everyone since last 3 years ago. In my opinion, each courses has their own difficulties. You cannot say that it is the easiest subject because you didn't study the course at all.

Anyway, I would like to wish Happy Good Friday & Happy Earth Day! Life still need to go on~

I felt my legs pain today. I don't have time to sit in the office for the whole day except during my lunch time. I saw my supervisor looked so tired today. When finished his lunch, he straight away came back & went to the meeting room & sleep. How tired is he. For the whole morning, I was assisting my senior to do the quality assurance on the wall. At first, I thought it was easy. But I was wrong. Need to check a lot of specifications. To my surprise, LKC is the most fussy guy when he check the quality. He check every single corner & angle or can say 100% good. He even can use his own eyes to see a very minor bulging on the wall without using the long steel rule. I really salute him.

Meanwhile, 1 of my seniors said that I'm so thin & asked me to eat more. Haha~What a joke for the day. Once again, my seniors asked want to go for karaoke or not. I rejected them again. I wondering where they can get so much of energy to work hard & play hard. I will ask them the formula to get more energy soon. Haha~ 1 last thing before I end this post. Actually, I don't like people who didn't fulfill their promise. Therefore, please do not simply promise if you can't do it~

This morning when I passed by the KLCC concourse area, I saw some people were setting up a stage for a fashion week. Luckily, I saw the female models were practicing their walk on the stage. They looked so fit. One of my mom's friends told me that I should go for modelling. I was like~ Hahaha~ I got the good look? Good feature? LOL~

Finally, today I managed to get my toilet key at the site construction. I had been suffered for 2 weeks by asking my seniors to borrow their key. Thank God! Nothing much change today. The general manager from headquarters visited the site. The mock up room is not ready yet. I heard next week the Managing Director will visiting the site. I hope we can finish the rooms on time. Today I discussed with my supervisor. He agree with me that the job that I work now does not related to what I study at all. He told me that if got time, he will ask me to follow other engineer to learn more related to my studies. I hope he will do that. It's rain again. But luckily, I need to assist my supervisor to monitor the progress. So, I do not need to go up & check the water ingress on each floors. Meanwhile, I chatted with a supervisor from a sub-company. He looked so sick but still need to come & work. I think it's due to the weather & the dust in the building. I think the dust is came from a lot of place but the most severe part is the marble dust. It is so dangerous until I need to wear a mask when I pass the floor which there is a marble installation. Before I went back, I met LKC at the main gate. As usual, he asked me the same questions. But I think what he told me is true about the site construction. I got another free 'money' from him to learn more about the working environment~ ;)

Another busy day. Today I helped my supervisor to monitor the mock-up progress on level 6. 2 rooms need to be done by tomorrow because there will be few visitors from the headquarters & client's company inspect the rooms soon. It is not easy to monitor few sub-contractors at 1 time. Furthermore, I need to help my supervisor to inspect all the of the particulars & it should be the same as the design. I pity my supervisor. He got a lot of workloads but today he only focus on the mock up progress only. Furthermore, he need to work until 12am to make sure all the thing will be done. He don't have any workers under him today because he already fired the only worker he had. That is why today I worked overtime to help him out. I learnt a lot of things on how to mock up a house. I felt myself a little bit fussy when I ask the workers to repair the problems & do some touch up. I think I'm going to become a Fussy Uncle.

My mum told me that I should smile on the mirror every morning so that I have a good day everyday. But still, I felt unhappy today. Actually, I faced some of the problems since my first week of my internship. I'm not sure I'm a slow learner or I'm not familiar with the environment. By right, I should familiar with the work & perform well but I can't. Is it I feel that I bored with my work already? Maybe? Sometimes I think some of my coursemates who work in the office. Although they will get a lot of tasks but still they do not need to confront with varieties of people & work under the bad environment. Furthermore, they seldom go for site investigation unless the project is urgent. Therefore, I still stand with my point, work on site is much harder than work in the office. Maybe some of the readers will disagree with me. But I hope that the readers will understand that everyone got their own point of view. I don't want to count down when I'm going to finish my internship like when I count down my final exam starts. I try to think positive & love the job. It's a good training for me to be more tough. To those who are tough, Come! Work on site construction.

When I had my dinner just now, I was distracted by a girl who wore a very short shirt, or I can say that can see her front part openly. I wondering why nowadays girls like to wear as less as possible? Is it the weather is too hot? Or she want to live in the Garden of Eden? Or she want to sell her body? I think maybe the readers will think that I'm a conservative guy. I just hope that the women should wear at least cover the parts for their own safety. There were a lot of rape cases in the city. They should know how to protect themselves. I think that is all I want to write my craps today. Tomorrow will be another day~

Rain again. I really hate rainy days. It's not cooling but it's too HOT for me. I need to work under on a wet area again. I didn't work so hard today because I want to work slowly. Try to enjoy what is Saturday should be. I walked slowly, didn't rush from 1 level to another level. But after 11am, my supervisor asked me to accompany to the level 22 to investigate the cause of flooded case on the lower floors. I think he is pressured by the project manager to solve the problem as soon as possible because now is raining season. I managed to talk with a senior who told me about few specifications or Codes on how to design or implement on construction. Thanks to my supervisor because he asked the senior to share his knowledge to me. The senior told me that not all the things need to use the current code which is Eurocodes. It depends on which thing need to use. For example, if want to build Facade, it is better to use Australian Codes to design & build it. I hope I can get more information from him.

When on my way back home by KTM, there was a couple make my eyes sore. They stand behind of my seat. The guy hold the girl buttocks & press it happily while the girl is quite happy with. I was like, Please.. Do not act Unnecessary Acts in the train. If you want to do it, please do it in your house~ @.@

Tonight I only got time to send & reply email & chat with my friends even though I online everyday. Tomorrow will be my off day. What should I do tomorrow? I have no idea.. Worked for 2 weeks already. Enjoy? More 'Enjoyable' moments will come~

Usually Friday, people will wear casual when they are working. But for me, I still wear uniform instead of casual wear because I need to work on Saturday. Tomorrow I will wear casual. Wear uniform or casual still the same for me because I will still sweat when I'm working. I felt that I don't have much work today. I just need to inspect some of the aspects of the construction only. The new safety shoe is very heavy. It's nice for me because it can train my legs strength. I just know that the company that I work need to finish 2 rooms from level 6 because the client will going to inspect the rooms on next week. I think it's quite rush & we hope that there will be no error occurs. After my work today, I went to PC Fair which is next to my work place. Still the same like last time, so crowded. And I was frightened when I passed through the telecommunication booths. I saw a swamp of promoters with different colours, Greeen, Blue, Purple, Yellow, Orange, White & Black. Too colourful to me~ @.@ I just used 30 minutes to survey all of the booths. Is it too fast? Haha~ I also saw some girls wear tight cloth & short skirts. Some pretty but some looked ugly. Is not shirt wear you but is you wear shirt~

Today my results out. Yesterday I wrote that I don't want to check so early but I can't. I'm so curious & worry about my results. When I reached home, I straight away switched on my laptop & check the results. But I can't check for few hours. Maybe the system down or too many people want to check their result. At last, I checked it already. Not the result that I expected. Still got 2 semesters left. After that graduate. Then work. Then Marry???

Today, I learnt 1 of of the most important things when we are working in a big group. And it will cause a big problem. It is 'Communication'. I saw a lot of miscommunication occurred for the past few days between the main contractor & sub-contractors. It caused a lot of problems until I saw everyone were headache & exploded. I think I know why the project is not on time. Meanwhile, I managed to talked with some of the sub contractors. I got some advices from them. But I don't want to disclose it here first because I haven't finish my internship yet. I will summarize it when I finish my job here. I don't know I'm lucky or not today. The camera that gave by my sister to me just 'passed away'~ I can't take any pictures until I buy a new camera... The good part is I received my new safety shoe just now. No more shoe soak water anymore..

Today is the Black Day~ It's origin from Korea. But I don't have the time to celebrate it. I realized that most of my guy seniors haven't marry yet. Is it true that those who work as civil engineer or contractor will be single for a longer time? I think it's because they need to work 6 days per week...Only 1 day rest but don't have the energy to date people. Sleep is better than date a girl~ LOL~ Who knows~ Tomorrow, my last semester results will be out. I think I won't check it tomorrow because I don't I'm quite scared that my results will be like... Tofu??

What a gloomy morning today. I like morning briefing & exercise session because usually I can get free shoulder message for 2o seconds even though I need to massage other people back. But it's sound gay because guy massage another guy. LOL~ As usual, went up to each floors for inspection. Almost each floors of the building were still flooded. I felt my another 'Friend' visit me. Make my throat so 'Happy'.. As a precaution, I drink a lot of water to cool down my body temperature. Cool~ When I was on level 16, I saw a worker who looked suspicious. To my surprise, he was peeing on the chilling pipe. This was my first time to see such an act. Maybe there are few workers who pee or shit on the floor during the construction time. I think not only here, but the other construction areas will have this kind of situation. Would you like to stay the place which somebody pee or shit before? LOL~

Afternoon, the rain is visited the city centre again. But luckily it's not heavy. Everyone is busy with their stuff. 1 of the clerks asked me whether I'm free or not to help her to print few drawing maps on another building. But I couldn't help her because I got my own job need to do. Actually, there are man power issue in the project. No enough people to work. 1 person need to handle 2-4 tasks including my supervisor & myself. My supervisor told me that I need to be prepare for multitasking & I agree with him. It is a good time to train me on how to do multi tasks. I haven't check my weight yet. I'm not sure I'm getting fatter or thinner. But I'm 100% sure that my skin still look fair. Haiz.. I thought I can darken my skin.. Yay~ Tomorrow is Thursday & it is a Black Day! To all singles, Happy Black Day!

What a rainy day today. Last time, I used to like rainy days because it's cooling. But when I start to work in construction site, I don't really like it. Why? It's because almost all of the floors were flooded with the water & caused the water entered into my shoe. I felt so uncomfortable with the condition when my socks absorbed the water & make my feet pain. I'm still waiting for my shoe come from the HQ.. So slow.. Furthermore, due to the rain, a lot of works need to be on hold or the workers work slowly. The day was shined again in the afternoon just now. 1 of my university mate who works as intern in HQ visited my working area. I think she has a good time to visit here but for me, it was like a 'Fun Fair'. So many 'Games' can play.. I wish I can visit back the HQ.. 1 hour before I go back, the rain is passed by again. It caused me went back to my home late. So tired today. No mood to write more although got some of things want to share. At last, my 'friend', Flu is visiting me. I hope he can 'stay' longer~ Tomorrow will be another day to work~ Night~

2nd week of my internship starts. Whole morning was in the site construction area. I need to monitoring the workers to do hacking. Meanwhile I also need to do inspection on the mixer installation on few floors. I haven't buy the mask to wear. Everyday need to walk past the dust area. My supervisor was busy today. He need to go to a factory to do inspection. I went for lunch by myself. Not like last time when I worked, this time I didn't save my money. I just buy any food that I like without looking at the price. After lunch, need to monitor the workers again. I think I still haven't familiarize the working system at there. But I'm quite lucky, my supervisor told me that he don't mind if I don't know the system well. Furthermore, I have a language barrier with the workers. It's like chicken & duck situation. I think I need to learn some of the language soon so that I can instruct them well. For the first time, when I was on level 20, there was a rain around the city centre. The wind was so strong the level looked like the Sahara Desert. Too dusty until my eyes tear. When I was going to pack my things & go back, suddenly 1 of my seniors told me that today is the Project Manager's Birthday. I thought I can go back asap but no choice. Now I know his age. He still young. He wished that the project will finish on time after he blow the candles but I think his wish will not come true because he said it out loud. LOL~ Yah, the project is not on schedule. A lot of delays & problems. I hope they will solve it asap. Tuesday is coming! ;)

Today morning was little bit different. After the morning briefing + exercise, I went back to the office & prepare my daily report. Suddenly my supervisor asked me to go for site. I brought my notes & helmet & wore the safety shoe. When I reached on the ground floor, he asked me to go into a car. I asked him where are we going. He told me that we will going for morning break. I was like 'Ah'?? I saw him brought his helmet also but the other seniors didn't bring anything. Went to Imbi Pasar just to drink the famous Hainan Coffee~ LOL~ LKC bought some breakfast to eat. My supervisor told me that usually Saturday, they will work casually. After the break, do the inspection again. Time flies really fast. It's lunch time, went out with the seniors gain. This time ate Yong Tau Foo at Pudu. I ate until my stomach burst already because my supervisor asked me to eat more & the bill for the lunch was RM126++ with 8 people ate it. After lunch, my supervisor teach on how to check the timber quality for the door frame. There are so many requirements. Went to 7th floor to check the timber. My supervisor was so angry because 8 out of 10 timber frames are spoil & it is quite troublesome to carry it down to ground floor & it's heavy too~ I think I will be the person who need to monitor the logistic arrangement for the frame soon. @.@

1 week past. I'm still thinking of should I extend my internship or not. I'm still waiting & want to know who will be my visiting officer. I'm waiting... Tomorrow will be my off day. I understand the importance of off day & I will use it well.

8th April 2011

As usual, I went for the morning exercise & briefing. So far, there is no casualty happen in this project since the it started. My supervisor gave the site planning schedule to me. It was totally different for what I learned from the CEPB323 subject on the last semester. So many descriptions & time flows for 4 months. Morning went for the inspection on the wall on each floors. I was fortunate to had my lunch with the seniors. This time they brought me to Imbi & the project manager joined with us. They were totally different when they talked during the break time & work time. I listened all the things they said. There is a senior who works for contract asked one of my senior why I'm so lonely during the past few days. I was like, Hahaha~ My senior denied it & asked me. Actually they treat me good during my first day. After lunch, LKC asked me to follow him since my supervisor is not in the office. He gave me a task which is need to check & supervise the Banglas to shift the material to store. It's quite tough to supervise them because I just knwo that they are given 3 times break after the lunch hour: 3pm-3.30pm; 5-5.30pm & 7pm-7.30pm. I was like @.@. Because of this, I worked OT for 3 hours extra. I like it! So tired even though it was a good experience. LKC asked me go dinner with him & other seniors but I declined. I need to go back home asap because my mum prepared the dinner for me already. Actually I should go dinner with them.. Lazy ah~ I want to go back.. Haha~ Maybe on next time. Ok.. Tomorrow is Saturday. Everyone have a break day but I still need to work. Now I really understand how important is the break day for a working man.. ;)

Today is my 4th day of working. I would like to introduce the project that I work now. It is an extension building or phase 2 building project from a hotel, opposite the KLCC Convention Centre. The building has a total of 24 floors. They need to finish it by 2nd November 2011. Currently, they are still constructing the 24th floor. I had the opportunity to go up & have a look on the 24th floor. It was quite scary when I walked up by using the steel staircase & next to it is the view of KL. It was really NICE~ I think I can go for Bungee Jump~ XD

I was so tired today. I need to help my supervisor to do inspection on the framing wall for each floors. I recommend for those who want to keep fit or reduce your body weight. You can imagine when you need to walk from the highest floor to the ground & do the inspection twice a day. And also it is the daily inspection. Come~ Work on site! I can sensed that today my supervisor is having a bad mood. He faced some of the troubles from the sub-con. There were few things that the sub-con done it wrong. There were few miscommunication occurred between management with the sub-con & between the sub-con with the workers. I learn a lot from him on how to manage the time & people. I can say that work on site can train you more on project management.

I think my seniors are quite friendly. They started to ask me about myself especially about where I'm studying, how long is my internship, where is my hometown, why I want to work on site, etc.. But luckily, they haven't ask me about my relationship status. LOL~ I just realized that I don't have time to date people because I need to work full day from Monday & Saturday. And Sunday is for my hibernating time~ Habis~ Haha~ That's for all for today post. I hope tomorrow will be a good day ahead~ Ciaoz~

At last, I met my supervisor. He is totally different than I thought. He looks fit & dark. And he is 10 years older than me. How lucky 10 for me. LOL. This morning, he brought me up to the construction site. Although I haven't get my shoe yet but he helped me to find a spare shoe to wear it. How good he is.. We took the construction lift to go up. I was quite scared when I looked down. SO Freaky~ Haha~ But I managed to get it through. He guided me on how to inspect each floors of the building. But the major thing need to check is the dry framing wall. He told me that he is specialize more on architecture in the project. I was like @.@ I thought I will learn more on structural inspection but I'm wrong. Luckily, he told me that I can ask other people about the things that I want to learn. I think he is a nice guy although he got another face when he meet with the sub-contractors. He looks serious when he works. It took 1hours++ to inspect all the things. We had lunch together & I found out that I'm his first trainee. I hope he will treats me well. Haha~ He told me that there are pros & cons to work on site or in the office. He told me that I need to follow my instinct to choose my path. I hope I will choose the right one. After lunch, he asked me to inspect the wall back by myself. He trusted me~ WoW~ It was so tiring. It is a very good exercise because you can sweat alot even though it's raining. After the inspection, went back to office for a rest. Then I followed my supervisor to go for the sub-con meeting again. To my surprise, he used 1 language to communicate with everyone which is Malay language. He even speak Malay with the Chinese contractors. I think it's very good because at least everyone understand what he said easily because some them are foreigners. After the meeting, he told me that I can pack my things & go home but at that time was 4.40pm only. I was like.. Haha~ I read back some of the terms of construction procedures before I leave. I hope tomorrow will be a good day for me. Ciaoz~

5th April 2011

Today is my second day of my internship. Woke up quite early, around 5.25am. Rushed for the KTM before 6.30am. I managed to reach the site on time. Nowadays a lot of people take KTM to go for work. The train is full until I don't have any place to sit. But luckily, I managed to get a sit in LRT & it's really cool. LRT is like Heaven for the train while KTM is like the Hell. Are you agree with me? I was surprised that the company implement the daily morning briefing & exercise with the workers.

My supervisor haven't come back & LKC was busy today, so I asked another senior to give me a job to do. He assigned me to summarize the whole report of the concrete usage data (1 whole thick file) & key in into excel format by according to the grades. I just realized that a lot of concrete grades that I haven't learn it before. Actually not only the grades, but also the other things like the drawing, design & procedures. I felt like I'm a new leaf in the office. Lunched alone since everyone is not in the office. Worked the data until 5pm. Before I finished my work, LKC managed to come back into the office & asked me about my work of the day. He always told me that if I got any inquiries, please ask everyone around. He repeated this a lot of time but I felt he is so 'Cheong Hei'.. LOL.. But I understand his advice & I will do so.

It was raining during the evening. Luckily the company constructed the link bridge & I walked through the KLCC Convention Centre without expose to the rain. As usual, a lot of people in KLCC even though it's weekday. Maybe you will think I'm pervert but I will write this though. I like to take LRT because I can see some pretty girls in there & today I was lucky because I saw 2 girls. Wulala~ Haha~ I just joking. Haha~ Reached home aorund 7.15pm. Almost same like yesterday. I think I still prefer to take train because I don't need to use a lot of energy to drive & pass through the traffic jam. In the train, alothough need to squeeze with other people but I'm still ok with it. I think that's all for my post today. I hope that my supervisor will come back tomorrow because I got a lot fo things need to inform him. Ciaoz~

First Day of Internship~

Today is the first day of my internship. I left my house at 7.30am & need to reach the main office at 9.00am. I thought I can reach there around 2o minutes but due to heavy jam right after the Batu Tiga Tol & the road from SS15 to PJS10, I reached there around 8.30am. Luckily I'm still early to reach there. Initially, I thought only 3 students from my university including myself will work for that company. But to my surprise, actually there were 5 students. Quite bored when we were waiting for the PIC to brief us. At 8.55am, the PIC met us in the pantry. To my friends who wanted to know how is she look like. For your information, she is just an ordinary women. That is all I can write at here. Hahaha~ She brought us to a meeting room for a briefing on our internship. I just realized that the company done a lot of projects & got a lot of awards. She gave the internship & information pack to us & I was lucky because I'm the only one can get a uniform from the company only. But there is a price need to pay. I need to work on Saturday while the others just work until Friday. I felt a little bit regret about this matter. What to do.. I chose this path already.

Right after the briefing, I went to the site immediately. KL is really KL.. I nearly lost when I reached at Golden Triangle. I thought I can use shortcut to reach the site but I'm wrong. Almost all of the roads at there are one way. I drove until passed by Jalan Alor & make a big U-turn to go back to Jalan Bukit Bintang to Jalan Pudu to Jalan Imbi to Jalan Sultan Ismail to Jalan P Ramlee to Jalan Pinang then reached the site area. Luckily there is no jam during that time & I was there on time before the lunch hour. When I reached there, I was informed by the staff there that my supervisor is on leave & today was 'taken' care by his superior, LKC. But his superior is not around also, so I was 'taken' care by another staff, MG. When I saw him, I thought he is from Sarawak but I was wrong. He is a pure Chinese. LOL. He is a nice guy. He introduced me to my new working environment. The project is divided into 2 parts. One is for the building & another one is the linkage bridge. He asked me if can, try to observe both. After the briefing, he brought me to meet the project manager. He looks so serious & looks like one of my lecturers. LOL~ After the meet up, he brought me for lunch with other staff.

While we were waiting for our food to be serve, the other staff just arrived with other consultants. We sat together. I listened & observed what they talked about. It was like a man talk. Haha~ some of them even asked me about my study life. I was like @.@ after we finished our lunch, then LKC arrived. His first impression to me was like.... I think I don't want to judge him first because I believe a quote: 'Don't judge a book by it's cover'~ He asked me a lot of questions until one of his colleague joked that he want to investigate my personal life. Haha~ After lunch,went back to the site office. The site office is located under the construction building which in the basement carpark. I'm not sure it is safe or not but I hope so. LKC looks so busy. He asked me to see the drawing plans.

After 3 hours past, my eyes very tired & sored. Finally it's 4pm. I noticed that I don't understand a lot of terms form the drawing even

though I learnt some during the last semester. I hope I will take this time to ask a lot. LKC back from site investigation & held a daily meeting with the sub-contractor. He asked me to join along too. He looks so straight & fierce when he talked with the contractors & even scolded them for few problems & delays. I felt an aura from him when I watched him talked with them. I think it's from his experience, he managed to handle it well. After the meeting, I was told by him that sometimes we need to be stern to them so that they can finish the task on time & I agree with him. He assigned a task for me & I think it's quite burden but I think it's should be alright then. It's because I should do & learn more to achieve what I want from there. After 5.20pm, I left the site & went back to my home. The traffic jam is so heavy from MV to LDP. It took me almost 1.5 hours to reached home. Today I was tired is not because of work but it's due to the jam. I think that's all from now. I will update more about my internship frequently by using photos. Exhausted. Sleep time~ Ciaoz~
