Early January 2013~

After the new year, few of my colleagues were talking about the annual bonus and salary increment. From their expression that I saw, I know that they feel dissatisfied with the reward that they received. I think all of the staff in the office were affected with the low increment and bonus. As for me, I do not have any comment about it because I am working in the company for few months only. I am still young and have to work hard so that I can gain some experiences that other people could not get it. I do agree that if we work in the engineering design industry, it takes time for us to climb up and success as a Professional Engineer. Unlike other industries such as finance, banking, construction, oil and gas, it will be easy for us to earn money but at the same time we have to sacrifice more energy and time for the job. I believe that every jobs have their own benefits and consequences. There is no easy or fast track to success, unless you are very smart enough to play and cheat. Interest & patience are the main keys for us to survive in a work place. Without these two, I think it is better for you to think back whether you can continue to work or not. Meanwhile, in the office, some of  my colleagues started to ask about my relationship status and they were shocked that I am single for more than 20 years. I do not know why they shocked but I hope that they would not think that I am a gay~ HAHA~ Although sometimes I feel lonely but I am happy with my current situation. No need to worry too much and I can do what I want without any restriction. As for now, my priority to focus on my career. My project is entering the final stage fo design and it is getting tougher. It is not easy for me to coordinate all of the disciplines and discuss together. It is like handling a bunch of kids in a classroom. Everyone is protecting their own interest. Furthermore, the client is getting more aggressive and push the designers until near to the edge of the cliff. For your own safety, it is better not to give your personal mobile phone number to your clients and just give your office number. If not, you will face a big problem which is to answer your client's call on everyday. I think I'm getting more lazy, lazy to go out and prefer to stay home and hibernate. Due to this, my weight is increasing. This is not really good when I am going to meet my Aki Nabalu soon. Haha.
