Selfish~

Selfish : thinking first of one's own interests, needs, etc without concern for others; not sharing what one has with others.

After I study in my university for almost 2 years, now I only know that the real world of human. I agreed with one of my coursemate who posted this status on facebook: 'There is no one willing to give you everything without any return besides your parents.' Now I only realized that human are really selfish. Not selfish, is Extraordinary selfish~ I can see the true colours of human attitude. During my time in the school and college, I haven't realize it. Probably I'm still naive at that time. The place that I study now changed me a lot. I need to be cautious with the people around me. I met those who are selfish & want to harm other people. So bad. Being selfish is already bad, but selfish & harm other people is really bad. I understand why other people want to be selfish. They want to keep the information that they got privately or it's due to their attitude, they don't like to share. They feel that 'Share is Caring' is a stupid move. But if being selfish & harm other people, for me, it is like a sin. For now, I think I need to be selfish for sometime. I cannot be so helpful anymore. I don't want to become somebody's puppet. But I will help those who helped me before and appreciate their help and I wouldn't help those who backstab or harm me anymore. I only give a chance to a person. Selfish~

Chap Goh Meh 2010

Nothing much happened during this 2 weeks of CNY 2010. I declared 1 week off during the first week CNY although there are few classes on that week. How lazy I am~ haha. Almost every of my Chinese classmates declared 1 week off too. It seems like a protest. Hahaha.. Nothing to do during the first week of CNY. Just visited the relative's house. Eat, watch TV, online, eat watch TV, online~ I managed to watch 2 TVB dramas in 1 week. Long time didn't watch dramas like a dramathon. Hahaha.. Quite bored during the first week of CNY. Repeat the same routine. Some people asked me why I didn't go to my friends' house for 'pai lin' or got for gathering. I answered them that my friends still at their kampung, etc~ Actually, I lazy to go out. I want to stay at home for a full rest. I just met an old friend who is one of my peer in the taekwondo at one of the cafe near to my house to talk about my previous club. Haha.. I back stabbed a lot about my former instructor. How bad I am~

Second week of CNY. Need to come back to the reality world. I still have a month to prepare myself for the final exam. On last Wednesday, I don't know why I was out of my mind, followed my classmates & watched a romance movie: Valentine Days. It's not my style to watch this kind of movie. I saw one of my classmate slept in the cinema. Hahaha.. He also felt bored with this kind of movie. After the movie, straight back to Uniten to attend the evening class. The class has been changed to a talk. OMG.. The talk is so boring until I wanted to sleep. The talk given by a student, I don't know who is he also. His presentation is so bad~ The slide presentation is so dull~ Speechless~ Then, I attended the post-mortem meeting for the ICE Green Week 2010 at night. Initially, I planned not to go to the meeting because I know that I will listen all of the unwanted things again. But I changed my mind because I think that I need to be a responsible person to face the truth. I cannot run away from it. On last thursday, SA1 test. I don't really expect that the test questions are really hard and the lecturer said this test is very easy. What a funny joke~ Last friday was a public holiday and I didn't go back to my hometown as usual because I need to stay back for one of my project, which is the sports project. So bored on friday. The hostel is so quiet. Same routine, eat, online, study, eat online study~

Yesterday, I need to woke up early in the morning. I need to go to FRIM for my project. All of the programs were delayed. What a typical Malaysian. Even the international students are more punctual than the Malaysians. What a shame to us~ The trip is quite good. Can go for the canopy walk. The activities, for me is ok. All of the students are forced to play for the sake of the marks. Hahaha... Suddenly rain came to FRIM and rescued us. All of the activities need to stop. Thanks to God. Can go back early. Reached back to hostel, bath, eat, then straight away sleep for 12 hours. So tired.. And today, need to resume my work back. Need to study for my another tests. So bored. What a wonderful life is~

In the end, this 2 weeks of CNY is just an ordinary for me. Nothing special. I don't have the CNY feel like last time.

I would like to wish a Happy Chap Goh Meh or Happy Chinese Valentine Day to everyone~ To those who are single, try to throw the oranges with your contacts into the river tonight. Hahaha... Although it will pollute the river.

ICE Student Chapter Green Week 2010

ICE Student Chapter Green Week 2010 was held on last monday. It was the second time for the ICE Student Chapter to organize an exhibition event & it was initiated by a lecturer. This is my first time to become the director for an event. It took around 1 & half month to planned this event. Faced alot of problems. From internal to external. I still don't have enough experience to lead the team yet. But I still try to do it so that to gain more experience. Some of the organizing committee gave a fully commitment. I really appreciate it. Some, haiz...I don't know what to say. I can feel the pressure how to organize an event. It is not so easy. Need to know how to manage the time & people well. Somemore, always face the last minute 'Breaking News'. For the publicity & promotion, I'm quite dissatisfied because the person who incharged done it in the last minute. Some of them didn't come for the final meeting before the day due to some 'reasons' or no reason. I need to have strong heart to face this 'Breaking News'. Anyway, it is a good way to diet since my weight is descreasing.

29 JAN 2010
Purposely went back to UNITEN to prepared the area for the exhibition during the mid sem break. Only 6 out of 18 organizing committee members went there to help. This is one of the first obstacles that I faced. Somemore, need to take out the concrete samples from the laboratory alone. The other group members were still on holidaying. Managed to settled up everything before night time. Need to drive back to SA. Faced the traffic jam. Quite exhausted.

30 JAN 2010
Its Thaipusam. Received a last minute notice. Rushed to Klang to buy the thing. Luckily found it. If not, don't know how to officiate the exhibition without that thing. Went to MV to buy some goods for the exhibition. Had a haircut at there. Saw alot of people especially chinese. Didn't see any indian ath there. No mood to buy cloth. Too many people. Need some fresh air to breath on that day. Too hot.

31 JAN 2010
Last day before the event starts. Went back to UNITEN. Had a final meeting at night. Not all of the organizing committee members attend the meeting. But I still need to proceed the meeting. No time to wait for them. Nervous. Couldn't sleep that well at night.

1 FEB 2010
A public holiday for KL. I wished I stay in KL. Its a D-Day for me. Its the opening ceremony for the week. Reached at the exhibition area before 7am. This is the time to see how punctual the organizing committee members are. This is what I expected. Malaysian are Malaysian. Some of my classmates came early for their booth preparation. I'm quite happy that some of them do it well & some of them do it simply. I'm ok with it as long as they pasted their posters on the boards. But I really upset that there was a group doesnt turn up on that day. There was an empty board. I feel so humiliate by their acts. I promised myself that they will suffer. The opening ceremony run on time. Smooth & well.

After the opening, I need to rushed to another place to prepare a talk/lecture. Luckily all of the logistics stuff run well. The lecture was given by Dr. O, the ICE representative of Malaysia. The lecture is about Geotechnical Failure Issues & Mitigation. Very few people attended the lecturer. I'm quite dissapointed. But, the lecture is good for the new & future engineers. Its more on ethics & moral to handle a situation.

2 FEB 2010

2 activities held today. Geo Rocks & first round of the Recycle Campaign. I didn't manage to attend the Geo Rocks due to class. But I heard that it runs well. I'm glad it too. In the evening, practiced the aerobic movement for the sport class. It seems like very easy. Not so difficult. Need to show infront of the classmates on 27 FEB. Feel shy to do it. Until at night, first round of recycle campaign. All of the organizing committee members & volunteers need to take the recycle materials from each houses in the hostel. It's not an easy task. Out of my expectation, almost all of the students who are staying in the apartment are quite cooperative. They gave all of the materials that we want. But 1 thing that I cannot strand it's the smell of the house. It's smell so 'Great'! Finished the activity before 11pm. Really tired. Rushed back for a hostel committee meeting. Extremely tired. I wished I have few clones for me to do multitask jobs.

3 FEB 2010
Today is the day for the exhibition group presentation. I didn't fully present. I let my group members to present it. They presented it quite well. I hope my group can win the prizes. After the presentation got another activity which is called the Float & Sink. My classmates supported me by participating the activity. I'm really happy with it and they won the prize. The prize was RM100 Pizza Hut voucher. Haha. They are going to have a feast after the closing ceremony. Second round of recycle campaign held at another apartment. This time, everyone feel so down & tired. Some of them didn't come due to some reasons. But luckily, this second round is easier than the first round. Less material to carry & finished at 9.30pm. Phew...Went out for dinner with them & came back to hostel & rest early.

4 FEB 2010
The arrival of the 16 visitors from Nottingham University Malaysia Campus to UNITEN. They were the committee members of the second batch of ICE Student Chapter after Uniten ICE Student Chapter. Only 2 student chapters in Malaysia & we are proud of it to become the pioneer. Bring them to walk around the exhibition area & some parts of UNITEN. I didn't planned it well. The program flow is not consistent. Got some problems. Somemore, I accidentally 'menolak' a gift from the visitor. I used the wrong word to tell the visitor not to give the gift yet because it is not the time yet. I felt so bad & said sorry to him. I hope he will forgive me. But the visitors were friendly. I hope we can meet them up again in the future. Until in the afternoon, one of the final activity, Cup Arranging competition. Its quite simple but yet, the committee members organized it well. It run smoothly.

5 FEB 2010
The final day of the week. Woke up early in the morning. Send all the recycle materials to a charity recycle centre. Only 3 cars to send all of the 'rubbish'. Very tired. Went back to the exhibition area. Only 5 out of 18 committee members turned up & helped to clean the exhibition area. Don't know where the others. Still got few hours time to go before the closing ceremony. I received a news that the venue for the closing ceremony is changed to another place. I felt like, arghh.... Why the management is so bad. We booked the room first & why you gave to a lecturer to use it on the last minute? I don't know what to say. Somemore, all of the invited guests couldn't come due to meeting, appointment, etc. Haiz... But until the closing ceremony time, almost all of my classmates come & support the event. I'm happy about that.

Conclusion,

• Thanks to the organizing committee members who helped me alot & thanks to them who gave me alot of problems. I really appreciate it and I hope that we can work together back in the future.
• Thanks to my classmates who supported me to joined the activities organized by ICE. Without them, the activities cannot run well.
• Thanks to my friends who supported & encouraged me to face the problems.
• Learnt alot of human attitude & know how to tackle it.
• Gained alot of experience to handle a team & the time management.
• Really tired. Got dark circles on my eyes. Weight is decreasing. Need to gain weight.
  
• Now, need to concentrate on studies because there will be alot of tests are coming to battle with me.

Last Minute~

I wish I do not need to receive last minute informations or problems. But, the wish will not come true. I'm still receiving last minute informations & problems that I need to counter it back. How wonderful life is~ You're in the World~

This is the words that I posted in the facebook just now. I hope the person who read will understand what I felt. Why some people especially Malaysians like to do things in the lastminute? Is it fun? Why they didn't follow the time flow given. Why they like to give lame excuses if they couldn't manage to finish up their jobs on time? I really pissed off! You think that you are the only person who a re busy? So selfish~

Do you think that you can survive in a real world by doing things in the last minute?

Is it do last minute jobs can help your group members to compile all the works on time?

Do you really like to see people suffer?

Do you really want to destroy all of the works done by the others?

Human are ego. What I wrote here maybe will make them realize or not~

Life still need to go on. I hope God will knows it~

MPO

Last saturday, I went to KLCC to watched a performance by MPO. This is my first time to watch it. The title is called 'New Year in Vienna, Austria'. The conductor for the performance was Gunter Neuhold. When I reached there, I saw a lot of old people. And I felt that I'm getting older. Haha..Yah..I'm getting older~ Some of the friends took some pictures. I didn't manage to take some photos, handphone's camera not so clear. I got a nice place to sat in the hall, almost can watched all of the orchestra members except the harp player. But, I felt not happy because I couldn't sit with someone that I familiar with. I can say that I watched it alone. The atmosphere was very quiet when the announcement had made before the performance starts. There were 2 sessions. The first session got 4 pieces and I like the third piece, although everyone said the 4th is the best. After that break for 20 minutes. I saw a booklet about the performance of the night. I thought it's free. But I was wrong. Need to pay RM 7 per booklet. Haha.. You think that did I buy it? The second session begin. The orchestra played 5 pieces. I saw the conductor conducted so energetic. I wondered that is he tired? Hahaha...After the show, I realized that I don't need to know what is the name for the song. I just need to feel that it can makes my mind peace for a moment. It's a good experience to me. I hope I can watch it again on next time.
