~Miserable~

This two weeks, I feel that my life is so miserable. There were alot of tests, projects/assignments & club meetings need to handle. I wished that I can split or clone myself into few parts or bodies to do the multi tasks. I tried my best to settle everything on time. I wished that somebody can guide me how to encounter the problems that I faced it now especially the Survey Practical, that I hate most. Not only me, but the other of my classmates hate it either. It's not the subject that we hate but it's due to the lecturer. Not a lecturer, is a laboratory instructor. I don't understand why he is so ~ etc~ I wished I can use my legs to kick him to death & shout at him: No mortal is wise at all time!

About the tests, I don't have the confidence to answered 3 out 4 test papers that I took. I don't want to blame this to anyone. I should blame myself for not increase the effort to study well. I should use rattan & wipe it on me as a punishment. I need to wake up. Stop day-dreaming~

About the projects, I relieved little bit because most of my comrades are following the schedule & do it on time. I hope that the 'incident' wouldn't happen again for this time.

About the club meetings, I joined 2 clubs & got the committee post for both of it. For the Amanah, I purposely joined this club due to the accomodation. I don't want to stay outside from the campus due to no transportation. For the ICE, I purposely apply for that post because I want to train myself as a leader. But both of this clubs are very active. I need to handle & make proposals for some programmes activities & need to attend the meetings that so called 'compulsory'. That is why I mentioned earlier I wish I have few clones. I faced a situation that I need to attend 2 meetings at the same time. At that time I'm so frustrated & don't know which meeting that I should go. Fortunately, 2 of my bosses form both club were so understandable. I really appreciate it. I went for the ICE meeting first because it is the first meeting for the club & after the meeting, I rushed back to hostel for the another meeting which was the Amanah. Quite rushed. Too tired. I think most of the people think that I should quit one of the club or both~

This is one the poem that I wrote & like most. It suits for the weather now which is raining~

Hujan

Cuaca yang cerah~
Matahari menyinar ke kulitku yang cerah.
Melihat burung berterbangan di langit,
mengingati perkara,
yang ku pernah melaksanakan.

Tiba-tiba~
Cuaca berubah mendadak.
Langit berubah menjadi gelap,
Air hujan turun merenyai-renyai,
mengikut intonasinya~
Bersambungan dengan petir,
yang mengilat tanpa henti.

Hujan turun semakin lebat,
hatiku semakin tenang.
Bunyi petir menghancurkan kegelisahanku.
Air hujan mengalirkan kepedihanku.

Hujan sudah berhenti~
Segala kerisauanku sudah pergi.
Semoga kehidupanku
berjalan dengan lancar~

Zoo Negara

Today I went to Zoo Negara to do the Moral Project, khidmat siswa with my group members. Almost all of us arrived on time at 7.30am at the zoo. Waited the zoo coordinator for around 15 minutes. After the brief, my group separated into 2 groups. My group sent to elephant & giraffe cages to do the service. When entered into the cages, OMG....the smell was 'GREAT'...! The zoo keeper asked me & my friend to clean up all the faeces at the elephant cage while the other 3 went to giraffe cage to sweep the floor...The elephants' faeces were so big..It's like a bulk of gold~ Alot of 'GOLDS'... It smell good too~ The cage & the stage area were so dirty. Alot of faeces & dry leaves on the floor. The elephants eat too much & pee too much...Luckily the zoo provided some boots for us to use. If not, my shoe gone. At 10am was the morning break. I don't have the apetite to eat due to GREAT smell which is still stuck on my nose~ After 20 minutes later, resumed the job back.. Swept the floor at the area & the sitting area for the visitors to watch the elephants..Very hot...Sweat alot~ The zoo keeper quite satisfied with our job. He let us break at 12pm, an hour ealier.. Explored the whole zoo...Its quite big...Alot of animals...Alot of visitors... Saw the flamingo & the other birds fly freely... Walked until very tired...Took lunch at a restaurant..The food prices were so expensive... The price for 1 bottle of 1.5 litre of water is RM3.50....Walao....speechless...rest until 3pm... Chat with the zoo keeper...Now I know that the 1 of the giraffes is pregnant..The elephants are still young, average 30 years old. and the last thing I hear & agree with it, the elephant cage is the hardest cage to clean it up...haha...Nothing to do..all of the job already finished in the morning.. Helped the zoo keeper to feed the giraffes...The animals are quite greedy...like to eat alot...The zoo keeper let us go around 3.30pm...Take some photos...Went back to my hometown by train...So tired & extremely smelly...I still can imagine the GOLD smell~ hahaha...It is a wonderful job...can get the animals closer...can explore the zoo free without any charges...hehe...hope I can go there again & help again if got time~ The sticker pass

1 happy Giraffe family

I want to live like animals; careless & free like animals; I want to live; I want to run through the jungle; the wind in my hair & the sand at my feet~

Green Camp 2009

Green Camp 2009

~Rise of the Green Nation~

Green Camp 2009 started on last friday, 31st of July 2009. It was organized by the Uniten ICE student chapter. The journey started at 9am from Uniten, where the programme committee members & logistic committee members went to the Taman Pertanian Malaysia Bukit Cahaya, Shah Alam. The place is near to my place. Hahaha.. Reached there around 10.30am after the breakfast. Settled all the things in the hall. The chalet look very nice. It's better what I thought. Have a quick meeting before the partcipants arrive. So many changes for the second & third day programme flow especially for the river cleaning. Quite blur with it actually. Pity the assistant director, he need to solve it fast. He quite tension with it. But all of the members were trying to help him to solve it.
The Hall at the Ideallic Village

the Programme Committees were discussing the programme flow before it starts
The participants

The participants arrived at 4.15pm. Around 44 people participated the camp excluded the committee members. The first programme was the Ice Breaking. As usual, the participants introduced themselves. Saw each groups created their own team cheers & mascot. But 1 of the participants was half-naked & acted like a warrior. Bro Ben told me that he & his 2 other comrades are extremely psyco. Hahaha..I think it will be fun to see them play. After the first programme was the welcome speech by the chairman of the organizing committee & the advisor of the ICE student chapter. At night was the second programme, the Rise of the Atlantis. Each groups were provided with some materials to build a building or environment according to the theme that selected randomly by them. First of all, I thought they couldn't build it well because they got the limited materials only. Example, one of the group got the hanger clips & 1 card borad only. But they proved me wrong. They are so creative & built a good structure of the building. Somemore, most of the participants were study the other courses such as EE, EP & ME. After the second programme, the participants can have a rest but for the committees, need to stay back for another briefing by the asst. head of programme, Hui. The briefing is about the river cleaning, the main programme for the camp. Everyone in the programme department scare that alot of problems will happen during the river cleaning. Finished the briefing at 11.30pm. Went back to the chalet. Didn't took bath..Very tired..Saw some of the seniors were playing around especially the head of programme...Hahaha..I felt that the seniors have the strong & good friend relationship..Slept at 1am.

Second day, woke up very early at 4.50am..Need to take turn for bath. 10 people shared one toilet.. Some of them bathed very fast..Some of them bathed very slow..But, all of us were on time. Sharped at 7am, waited at the hall to fetch the logistics guys & went to Klang to set up the things. Unfortunately, the logistics guys woke up late & caused a little delay..Hui was very angry about it..Maybe it's due to the conflict between the both heads of departments..I became the tour guide for them..Luckily we reached Klang on time..After setting up the things, went back to BC with another senior because I need to guide 2 buses to the location. The river cleaning was held at Taman Pengkalan Batu, Klang. It next to one of the dirtiest river in Malaysia, the Klang river. I can smelt the Great Smell of the Klang River~ Helped to ensure the programme flow goes well..Luckily the day was not too hot.. It was a moderate day. Finished the river cleaning & tree plantation at 10.35am. The participants need to do some brainstorming & present their ideas to the judges. All of the groups got their own ideas. Went back to Bukit Cahaya at 11.45am. Reached there around 12.30pm. Quite on time.

At the Taman Pengkalan Batu, Klang

The participants had their lunch & rest until 2.30pm. As follow the plan, there were 2 talks start from 2.30pm. But due to the speakers, all of the programme flow delayed & it makes the programme members had a headache. But luckily, The speakers doesn't talk so much. It still on time. But pity for the participants, they need to listen & they felt so tired due to the previous programme. After the talks, then next programme was BBQ session. Really had fun at that time.. And the most thing that I liked was the lemonade made by Dr. Chua, the senior lecturer & advisor for the ICE student chapter. His lemonade was super good. It's better than the other lemonade that I had before.. Finished the BBQ session at 7.30pm. Talked craps with other committee members..This is the good time to make the bond of the friendship between seniors & juniors closer..Took bath..Do some preparation for the next programme, Tribute to the Mother Nature.. Actually it's a performance night. Each team need to perform a drama or musical performances..1 of the best team was the brown group, they performed the wayang kulit..it's very creative, but they were not winner..the winner was the red group, their story line was better & followed the theme given well..Finished the programme around 11pm. Had another meeting for the last day programme..Really scared that the Wild Run programme will have some problems. Went back to chalet at 12am. Discussed the programme flow with the seniors..Bro B looks so tension..He need to recheck back the Wild Run programme.. Slept at 1am++

The last day, felt that the time pass so fast..woke up at 4.45am..Need to called the participants to wake up at 5.30 am because the next programme, the Moonlight Walk starts at 6am. It's a morning walk & the participants need to walk in the dark without the torchlight. After they came back to the camp, they were surprised because they were going to have a pop quiz for the Moonlight Walk. Haha...most of them couldn't answer it well..Haha...luckily there was a group to win the breakfast prize..Make another meeting before the Wild Run starts.. Quite nervous..hoped that it will run well.. I was stationed at 4 season Garden with Y. I think there will be gossip when i reach back to Uniten. While on the Wild Run, I forced the 1 of the male particpants of each groups to act like a girl while the female participants to act like a boy. they need to say I love you & I hate you on the same time..Haha..How bad am I..Suddenly..the sky turned to dark & rain..I pity the participants..They need to run through under the rain..but I think it's fun for them because This is the time to be wild & chill...

The programme had been cancelled due to the weather. Went back to chalet by car. Looked at all of the participants...Almost all of them were wet. But 3 out 2 groups managed to finished the Wild Run in less than 1 hour & 15 minutes..Wow...they really ran all the time..Really good..Every participants & some of the committee members took bath. I didn't bath because still need to packed the things. The camp finished at 11.45am with prizes presentation, speeches & photo session.

Everyone went back to Uniten at 12.30pm..I didn't go back to my house although the Bukit Cahaya is near to my house because I have another meeting at 8.30pm..Felt so tired..
Last day of the camp

Conclusion:
  • Learn alot of things on how to organize a programme
  • Make alot of new friends especially the CE seniors
  • Almost know some of the seniors 'inner' attitude..Haha..
  • Understand the awareness of the importance of Green Nation
  • Felt something strange in my heart, planned the camp for 5 months++ already but finished it in 3 days only.
  • All of the programme flow ran well. Almost on time. Thanks to the leadership of the Programme director who insisted to be punctual on time.
  • I hope that next year the ICE student chapter will organizing this camp again.

3rd Week of 1st Semester 09/10 ~

Wow...time pass so fast...I studied for 3 weeks already... The subjects are getting harder... I can feel that alot of workloads are coming to me to settle it... Like previous semester, almost each subjects got at least need to do a project or an assignment... For CEGB212 (Geology), the lecturer asked each groups to do a research/project about the geology and my group selected to do hillslope construction & need to do a presentation...hohoho...I really don't know how to do it..I have no idea about it~ Meanwhile, she also asked my class to do a debate about the rocks & minerals...Huh??? lol...this is a geology class, not the language class...Duh...

For the MORB212, as usual, my friends chose me again as the group leader...Maybe they think that I done well during the special semester...Haiz...Like what my other friend said: So Bored, need to do the same job again...This time, my class need to do the 'Khidmat Siswa'... First of all, I thought I want to do some normal & meaningful such as go to old folks or orphanage home...But after discussed with 1 of my comrade, it's too simple & the other groups will do the same thing...So, I rethink it back, I suggested go to the National Zoo to do the volunteer service during the meeting time...And all of them agreed although got some good ideas such as go to FRIM, SPCA, any beaches in Malaysia, etc...Now, I need to wait for the lecturer approval before I contact the zoo..I hope that everything will be fine & try to score at least B+ or A- for this subject...

For the MEMB233 (Dynamics), it's like the previous statics subject, although got addition of some formulae... The lecturer just finished the 1st chapter, Kinematic chapter and make a quiz on last Thursday and I like this lecturer... He gave the quiz question from the textbook & allowed the students to open book & discuss... How lucky am I~ But there pros & cons... I heard from my roommate said that he marks the paper very staright~ lol...

For the CEVB213 (Survey), as usual, so sleepy...sometimes the lecturer talks until he don't what is the next step to calculate the measurement.. 'Syok Sendiri'... He's like doing his own study, didn't know that his students understand the concepts or not...But luckily, after the class, my friends & I asked him about some calculations & the way of surveying, he explained it well... Phew, he is better than my survey laboratory instructor~

For the MATB143 (DE), I would like to say that I hate the lecturer... She is a part-time or so called 'Free lance lecturer'.... She treats the student like secondary students... She looks like the Cruella Devil from the 101 Dalmation...Really OMG...Somemore she teaches the DE very fast like the Japan's bullet train... For the 3rd week, She teached until chapter 3.1 but the other classes that teach by full time lecturers, they just learn until chapter 2.4 (chapter 2 is until 2.6)...
I felt that whoa~ Really fast~ I don't know the other students understand or not but for me, it's too fast & I'm not strong with calculus subject... I need to count on my own...haiz...I prefer my previous advance calculus lecturer...

For 2 of my laboratories, 1 is Geology and another 1 is Survey...both are HARD...Yeah.... For the Geology laboratory, the students need to memorize all of the 84 minerals' physical properties in 2-3 laboratory sessions & another 80++ rocks' physical properties for another sessions...Really OMG...need to know the colours, structures, hardness, & the most difficult part, it names....Aiyoyo...its not like a simple name call 'Rock'...It's like : Kaolin, Hornblende, Galena, Corundum, etc....Haiz, my head is going to explode~ For my survey laboratory, the lecturer is quite friendly, but the he didn't explain it well. All of the students feel very blur~ Some of them tried to ask him, but he explained differently...Haiz... Why Uniten likes to treat us as white mouses?

About the co-curriculum... I still need to finish up a programme called the Green Camp, will be held at Bukit Cahaya on next weekend... I being forced to help to 'Jaga the Booth' for 2 weeks to promote the camp...Haiz... I hate to promote something....Somemore, it took my freetime to rest...I really can't wait it to finish it...I hope it will success... And another 1, I went for an interview to become the hostel committee...The main reason that I want to become is because I want to get a gurantee to stay in Uniten for another year...Yesterday, I saw the result is out...I saw my name on it... YES! I got it...But my roommate couldn't get it...I felt sorry for him...He is the one who encouraged me to apply...It's because the so called the Resident Seniors want to kick all of the old committees out...He is a vice-president for the committee..In the future, I will be busy for this things....haiz...but due the accomodation, I need to sacrifice my time for it...

I still have another 2 weeks before the mid-semester break...Time pass so fast~
I hope I can maintain my pace...

Study well
Play Well....

1st Week of 1st Semester 2009/2010

The facilitators for the Orientation June 09/10

I just started my 1st semester 2009/2010 after the orientation week. Still tired, haven't recover back..Knew alot of new students especially the Mass E's new students~
I'm staying with a new roommate & housemates in Amanah Hostel. All of my classmates were staying in Cendikiawan, Seri Kembangan or Bangi.

Monday, need to woke up early..Need to wear formal attires to show that I followed the university rules because I don't want to give a bad impression to the new students. When I reached at BM block, the class was cancelled. Argh....I woke up early but the 8am class was cancelled...Went for another two classes at 9 am & 12 pm. The Differential Equation class quite ok, although I hate the class schedule (I got class on friday) & the Survey class...a new African lecturer teach the class...I felt so sleepy when he lectured...It's like no connection...

Tuesday, went for the Geology class...Met my drafting lecturer back..still remember the way she speaks..Couldn't 'kutuk' her by using chinese words, she know how to listen it...need to beware of her, she listen it, bye bye, the grade will become C & below...Alot of my seniors told me that Geology is one of the toughest subject, need to understand & memorize all of the rocks & minerals structures & conditions..After that went for the Dynamics class..Learnt back the Kinematics & kinetics...I hope I can manage to handle it...At night went to Taman University Indah to visit my classmates' new house...The house looks nice, but far from Uniten..

Wednesday, as usual, attend some of the same class..For the moral class, met the same lecturer again..But I'm suprised to see that she changed alot..She talks alot especially the lame jokes...really surprised...form the same group back...they choose me as the leader again...haiz...maybe due to last special semester, almost all of them got the good grades for the BM subject, that's why they choose me again...haiz...another workload for me...at night, had a meeting about GC in BM...luckily my roommate is so kind, willing to fetch me to BM...thanks ah~
& thanks to seniors who fetch me back to Amanah after the meeting..

Thursday, a headache day for me...need to do my add & drop subjects for the time table. I tried to change my DE subject to another section so that I don't have a class on friday..Met the lecturer, the asst. registrar, the HOD....haiz...useless...the class full & cannot appeal to add extra students already...haiz...really exhausted...travel from BA to ITMS to BN to ITMS to BA to ITMS...really tired...I don't know what to say...I really 'LIKE' my university...slept in the evening...around 8pm, jogged around the MPH & the lake...really sweat alot since the last special semester..The air was so cool...nobody at the lake...went back to Amanah after take away dinner at Upten...

For this few weeks since the induction week, I felt that my life changed alot...I felt that more open..knew the teamwork spirit more...friendship...But, I couldn't achieve 1 of my purpose during the orientation week...haha...now, alot of new students greet me when I walk in the campus..I felt like I'm like very famous...even my classmates surprise about it~

I hope that I can manage to survive for this semester~

~ Induction Programme ~

Induction Programme is a proramme to train the facilitator for the orientation week..It was held on the last Sunday, 21st of June 2009 until today, 26th of June 2009.

21st of June 2009
Today, I need to register myself at Uniten to become a facilitator. Reached at Amanah at 2.25pm. I went to the office, but it closed. Waited for a while. I saw a senior, he told me that the accomodation for facilitator changed to Cendi. Change it in the last minute. Checked my room in Cendi..After that followed my parents went to KL to visit my relatives. After dinner, came back to BA to listen a briefing on the induction programme. I'm alone at there. Majority are new facilitators including myself. After the briefing was the Ice Breaking session. Done some modules such as ask people to write own name at the back of your body, Iklan Bomb which it's similar to Negara Bomb but using the advertisement to block the bomb and the last was the group breaking. There were 6 groups. After the session, I saw my 2 classmates, they just came back from Perak. Reached back to Cendi around 12am. Tired...Sleep...

22nd of June 2009
Woke up at 6.30am. Went to the hockey field for the Team Building session. I heard from my seniors that the session should do on the 3rd day. But the management changed it on the 2nd day. Took my breakfast with spicy meehoon. I hate spicy meehoon. Started the session. This session held for a whole day. Gathered in each group, created a cheer team for my own group, presented it. There was a group used 'Cangkung' to cheer. It's really funny. after that, the 2nd module was to trained the team spirit. Everyone eed to make a big circle. Later, put the shoes & socks at the middle of the ring. Turned back, the induction facilitator messed the shoes & socks. Asked us to take it back in 30 seconds. First it was so chaotic, everyone want to take back their shoes. But a few minutes later, the leader of the orientation commanded us to calm down..Although it's late but it build the team spirit. the 3rd module was played the Spider Web & Magic Pipe..All of these modules were to train the teamwork. It's a hot day. All the modules under the hot sun. Really hot. After the lunch, continued to the next module, it looks like the amazing race, go to each checkpoint. But 1 person need to carry another person for the whole trip. It's so tiring. but 1 of the best thing I had was I can play kayaking at the Uniten's lake near to the mosque..It was so fun...Finished it at 5.30pm. I saw everyone were so tired. Ate dinner, went back to Cendi for a rest. At night, went to DSS for the final module. Painted the long white cloth by using the 3 spray cans...It was so beautiful...Alot of mixed colours..It represent the hardship of the facilitators. Finished at 11pm, EXTREMELY TIRED! rest~

23rd, 24th & 25th of June 2009
This 3 days were the most boring days. I compiled all of this days into 1. In this 3 days, listened to all of the 'taklimat' about the university & bla bla bla(like what I used to listned on the last orientation week). Meanwhile, there was a training for the facilitators to train how to teach the modules to the new students.. Some of the modules are fun & some are bored..Sometimes all of the facilitators were scolded by the head of protocol due to the punctuality. I felt that all of the facilitators should be responsible & punctual because we are going to take care of the new students..Haiz..

26th of June 2009
Today is the last day of the induction week..Listened to the last briefing from library & HEP. Tomorow will be the orientation week. I will be helping in BA to assist the new students to line up in the BA Gallery. That means I will going to stand for a whole day...Got the new room key for amanah..the head of facilitators allowed us to take a whole afternoo break so that we got the energy to stand for the 1 week of orientation week..Tonight, probabaly we are going to train for last moment before the registration day tomorow, I hope all of the things will be doing well..

p/s: I'm so tired...Bodyache...But luckily the management supplied the Pharmatons for the facilitators to regain their energies..Somemore, this time only 100++ for the new girl students compare to the boys, 900++ people..Really shocked!
