Spring

Spring is not about the season, but about the state of mind.
Life is not about the body, but about the mind.
Old age is not measure by years, but by the mindset.
Life is not about how long we live, but how we live it.

P/S: Do you know why I put this picture on my blog main page?

1st March 2015: Determination

Whether a person is capable or not depends on how he/she answers questions. Is his/her response to the question positive or negative? His/her capability can actually be tested at that moment. We always hear some people say "no way!", "no way!" The phrase "no way" will definitely bring a life of "no way" to the person who uttered it. "Way" is actually a method created by people for doing something. Some people have encountered setbacks when starting business, have faced difficulties when handling matters, were blamed by others when dealing with people, have to come to a bottleneck when thinking, and then in the end they simply used 'no way' as an excuse to give up. If a rigid or traditional method does not work, perhaps you need to change your thought, examine the questions objectively, look for cross references, or look at the question from a different angle. You will find a way eventually. There is a saying, "All roads lead to Rome." Even a crafty rabbit has three homes in case of emergency, so there is no place for 'no way' for anything that happens in the world.

A determined person will always find ways and methods to success. An escapist will see only difficulties and obstacles...

234th Post

Things happen when all the conditions are ready.
Things end well when all the conditions cease.
When all the conditions are ready, everything goes smoothly.
When all the conditions are not ready, everything fails.

We are happy when we get something and unhappy when we lose something. However, we can never tell whether it is lucky or unlucky when something bad happened. There's a Chinese saying that "Even if we lose the west side in a war, we may still win the east side in another battle." The feeling of possessing and losing are conditioned. If something belong to me, there is no need to fight and compete with others. It will be mine eventually. If something is not mine, no mater how hard I try to get it, it will never be mine. Sometimes, it is hard to tell whether it is good to get something or it is bad to lose it. It all depends on the conditions. When you get somethings, you must take the most of it. You will find the thing you lost when all conditions are ready to arise.

Happy Lunar New Year and have a good year ahead!

Live without limits..

Recently, I read a book on how to live without limits. I was amazed with the achievements done by the author. Life is not always easy. But when we overcome challenges and problems, we will become stronger and more grateful for our opportunities

To live without limits, we need to have:

A powerful sense of purpose

Hope so strong that it cannot be diminished

Faith in God and the infinite possibilities

Love and self-acceptance

Attitude with altitude

A courageous spirit

Willingness to change

A trusting heart

Hunger for opportunities

The ability to assess risks and to laugh at life

A mission to serve others first

P/S: I have a decision need to make tomorrow and I hope make the right choice.

Donkey

Once, a man and his son were taking a donkey to the market. As they were walking, some people saw them and remarked, "Look at these fools, why don't they ride the donkey?" The man heard this and asked the son to ride the donkey while he walked alongside. An old woman seeing this remarked, "What is the world coming to? Look at that young man riding comfortably while he makes his poor father walk!" So the young man riding down and this time the father rode the donkey. As they went along, a young woman passing by said, "Why both of you get on the animal?" So they listened to her and both rode on the animal. Yet another group who saw them and said, "Oh! What a nothings! How cruel some people can be." By this time, the father and son were getting quite fed up. They decided to dismount and carry the donkey instead so as to stop everyone from talking. This led people to laugh and said. "Look at these human donkeys carrying a donkey."

I think you have read this story before but I would like to share my thoughts from this story. When you try to please everyone, you will end up pleasing no one, and in the end, you will land yourself in trouble. As long as you are not totally wrong, it would be good enough. You may listen for opinions but eventually you have to listen to your heart and make decision that is best for yourself. Nobody knows you better than yourself. Trust your instinct and decide what is best for yourself.

Good Night.

Love

Love has many faces. Selfish or unconditional, defiled or pure, finite or infinite, and vulgar or transcendent. Love is an instinct. It can give us strength and hope, but it must comply with morality and law for it to be invaluable. Love is not a one way street. True love is not a possession and it is a sacrifice. In order to have long lasting love, we must first cultivate good causes and conditions. Since the meaning of life comes from love, we must use true and purified love to dignify this wonderful world of ours...
